Thanks for this I’ve been in a bit of a state today completely overwhelmed. I forced myself to go for a walk and it bought me back to the present moment

Yoga is a great way to practice mindfulness and being in the right now, connecting to the breath and to how your body feels.

I learn more and more to be in the moment. If I am with a friend I put my phone down or away, I listen and really try to be there. If I watch tv I watch tv and don't scroll on social media, when I drive I drive... I try to do one thing at the time. Of course I'm not perfect but really learn I enjoy experience more in that way. Even when I'm somewhere I don't really don't won't to be (job trip for example) I learned to say to myself: now you are here, have the best time that you can have because that is how it is now. It's also reminder to enjoy happy times fully and the ones that are not so good - it'll pass. And sometimes we block ourselves and it's hard to really get in tune but like said - practise, practise, practise. I'm not sure if you already talked about it but would love to hear more from you about things around fear and self sabotage behavior when things go well. For example when something really good is finally happening and you finally feel so good but a few days later you're thinking like - ok, that is almost too good to be true and things like this. How to stop or correct that kind of thinking. I sometimes feel like I've been in a dark place for so long that now that I'm finally in the light I'm like - wow, that's maybe too bright? I hope I make at least a bit of sense. And I don't want to go to 'I'm not good enough', 'I don't deserve that' path again it's just that scared feeling - what if this is not real and it's just illusion...

I heard somewhere a while ago that we have no access to the past, the same way we have no access to the future. We can't do something yesterday, the same way we can't do something tomorrow. It will never be "tomorrow", it will still be this very moment. When I stopped locking myself and my plans in the "tomorrow", some of my procrastination habits disappeared because if I want to do it tomorrow, I get up and do it right now, when I have the motivation and presence.

I practice mindfulness when I apply body moisturiser after every shower. I used to see it as a chore and now I've learnt to enjoy it and see it as a way of nourishing my skin to look better as I get older. I also practice mindfulness when I meditate and journal.
