As a hooded eye gal myself, one tip I can give that I never hear anyone talking about is to apply mascara to lower lashes before upper lashes. It helps with keeping it from transferring to your upper lid/brow bone area when applying.
I found using a good mascara primer seems to keep smudging to a minimum. Eye Primer over lid, Lash Primer under mascara, little bit of powder in inner corner. I'm 49 w/ very oily skin.
Congratulations on homeschooling. My daughter has been homeschooled since 2nd grade and she’s a senior this year. You can do it! We’ve had 6 kids, 2 of which were homeschooled and it seems the longer they were homeschooled, the better off they’ve been later. Idk 🤷🏻♀️ ☺️ I was personally homeschooled the majority of my high school career and was able to graduate a year early as I did an accelerated program and was able to have the support I needed to do well and grasp each subject due to the extra attention I was able to have with my more challenging subjects. I was able to get out of the eternal fashion show that was high school for me and focus on actual academics! I even had a debate club with my school’s other families. It was so much fun and we also got together for field trips as well. It really was so memorable and wonderful of an experience for me. I hope you have a positive experience as well with your children! ☺️👍🏻
I love the hack of using a clear brow gel! I use a waterproof mascara over a regular mascara that way it’s easy to get off but doesn’t get everywhere on my face. My lashes are long but as I’m getting older they need volume, it’s hard to find a mascara that doesn’t add length just volume.
I can’t wait to try these hacks!!! I recently got the covergirl cleantopia mascara and I love how it looks but it smudges so badly on my bottom lashes. Now I can try to save it with these tips!
So curious- which one are you trying? I have both the one by Milani and the OG by MAC. I apply my favorite mascara on my top lashes- then use the tubing mascara to seal them. On my bottom lashes- I straight up just use the tubing mascara. It’s really just a one and done process. 😉❤
@@niinafletcher I ordered Heimish Dailism Smudge Stop from YesStyle! I'm very new to makeup, so this will be the first tubing mascara I'll try. Thank you for that tip! I never thought to use 2 mascaras at the same time
@@BriseisMusic - You will love it! Ever since I started using 2- I now always do this! I use a lash curling mascara first. Then- the MAC original tubing mascara is called the Extended Play Gigablack mascara. It’s good but pricey! The Milani is a drugstore brand. Their tubing mascara is called the Highly Rated Mascara. It’s a lot cheaper than the MAC and it’s almost as good! ❤️😉
@Niina Fletcher Ok, you're making my To Try list even longer! 😆 I'll go pick up a regular one then to double up. Does it matter if it's waterproof or not?
@@BriseisMusic - No, it definitely doesn’t matter if it’s waterproof or not. When you apply a tubing mascara over the top- it’s going to work better than anything waterproof could! If you can find the Essence mascara? Theirs are really good for lengthening and volume! Again- nothing seals those lashes like the tubing ones. Also- if you can’t find the Essence? WetNWild is pretty cheap, too! They have some really nice mascaras, also. ❤️🥰
