Train Your BRAIN for SUCCESS!
Fact: Your negative talk is 40x - 50x more POWERFUL than your positive thoughts!
That means the path to success begins in your own mind and the level of our success is dictated by the thought you have and how you interpret these thoughts!
I could think of no one better to teach you how to increase your effectiveness and unlock your full potential than my good friend and leader in the peak performance space, Trevor Moawad!
Trevor has worked with some of the BIGGEST names including the Seattle Seahawks, Russel Wilson, and the U.S. Special Operations Forces! Named by Sports Illustrated as the “Sports World’s Best Brain Trainer,” this world-renowned mental conditioning expert is HERE to help you take control over your MIND and your LIFE!
Some of the MOST IMPORTANT life lessons are dropped in this interview! You’ll learn how to position yourself with the top 3-5% of the population in EVERY area of life, starting with how you can DESTROY your negative thoughts and begin NEUTRAL THINKING.
I dive deep into the inner-workings of your mind and reveal how you can use the power of, “thought stacking” to your benefit instead of your detriment!
What does Russel Wilson, Mike Trout, and Nick Saban all have in common besides working Trevor? There has to be something different about these TOP and ELITE performers that allows them to perform at such high levels… This interview reveals their secrets AND so much more!
Hear me when I say this: Who you become is an accumulation of the way you SHOW UP in the world! Do you keep the promises you make to yourself and stack up your accomplishments or are you letting negative thoughts stack up and steal your future? Your possibilities? Your wins?
These tools we are teaching you in this interview will NOT take you years and years to learn, these are strategies you can implement RIGHT NOW to start seeing the results you’ve been dreaming of your entire life!

Quinton, Practicals are needed to reduce negative thoughts. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10 minutes or more. Let thoughts come. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Whenever you are free sit still for a few minutes and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Make it a daily habit. Do the above meditation regularly to have a better life. Read about positive effects of breathing on the brain on google search. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

I wonder how many men have put bullets in their brains by not talking about their unchecked shame thoughts or their "stupid thoughts"? By looking at those stats it's not looking good. How many people have held in that energy and denied and it became a sickness? Dr Gabor mates and Bessel van DER kolk (body keeps the score) Speak to how these thoughts unexpressed WILL express. I sit with families dealing with their family members' addiction every week. They all have one thing in common, they keep their thoughts secret, their shame secret, and they talk to nobody about their fear hoping things will get better and have to be completely shattered to be able to come into a room and say their "stupid" thoughts out loud. Can we accept what is not even acknowledged or checked against another trusted individual? Most men I am surrounded with cope with alcohol, porn, work, prescription upper downers and getting laid. Funny thing is, none of them even see their addictions. They haven't figured out their addiction allows them to take that deep breath from holding in so much self abuse and trauma. They say " I'm happy" as they clench their teeth in anger when those that live with them are around and need a couple beers to handle their kids playing loudly in the background. These men are all very successful in their careers. They sure look to others like this technique works. What I get to see is the people they live with, the kids who are afraid of their dad's anger, the wife who looks like she is 20 years older because she takes on his feelings and unexpressed dysfunction, the divorce, the inability for these men to be honest, or even allow the vulnerability of the other to really "see" who they are unedited.

RIP Trevor. Your work has helped me so much, even after just a week of applying it. I was already doing positive affirmations, but knowing that giving those affirmations form through spoken word makes them more powerful helps so much. Neutral thinking really works. It keeps you from wallowing in negativity, and also keeps you from the complacency that can happen when things go too well.

Man, this interview was a powerful reminder of the scripture that says "The power of life and death is in the tongue" One of the ways we are created in God's likeness is the ability to create or destroy with the spoken word. We shape our destiny by what we say. Good stuff.
@denniswaldrop9174
@denniswaldrop9174 4 года назад
I love this about neutral thinking too. The thing is, many people still bring stuff they do not want into existence because the universe operates on the principle, not the negation of it. So, if I say, I will not do this, I will not do this, we end up doing it anyway, because we have applied so much mental energy to it. The universe reacts to "doing this," not that we said we are NOT going to do this.

Takeaways for me: quite being a serial reader. Just do what the book says! Bill Buckner story and what happened in 86 WS. Will power isn’t enough to defeat what I believe. I’m retired USAF, was an okay college athlete in distance running but need to apply the behaviors that served me well in both and apply them to running my business. I just heard about Trevor for the first time last month in a mastermind session. Thank you Ed for this powerful episode. I needed this!

This one was quite helpful. I love the simplicity of the actionable items & the concept of neutral thinking. As a former college athlete myself the anecdotes ring very true. I am adding these items to our business team's review binder for discussion and getting everyone copies of Trevor's book. Thanks for the video Ed & Trevor! Favorite Takeaways: 1. Don't say stupid / negative things out loud 2. Being mindful of what you consume ( Audio, Video, those that surround you etc) 3.Your past is real but IT IS NOT Predictive of your future. Your future is determined by the actions you take going forward. Change your behavior to actions that will support success towards what you are pursing. 4. Your confidence and self worth are built on what you do consistently. 5. Attitudes are contagious & the right attitude is a competitive advantage 6. "You don't need to be sick to get better"

Thank You Ed Mylett 😊 So much of this resonated with me. The part of how you see yourself, and making New Year’s resolutions. As a kid, I never thought I was very smart, and having an older brother, who always got top grades, didn’t help 😜 (looking back now, I can see it from a different perspective) In the summer, after 6th grade our Mom and my brother, moved to Germany, (none of us spoke the language). I started 7th grade, and got tutoring and picked up the language, and went on to 8th grade, at a new school. Where I was asked where in Germany I was from, because I had a dialect. And as I tried to fit in, smoking seemed like a “good idea at the time “ I got passing grades, and in the summer, we moved to the US. And once again, I had to start over without knowing anyone, and not knowing the language. When I started 9th grade in the fall, my comprehension was tested at an 18 month old baby’s. During 9th grade, while learning English as my 3rd language, I received Incomplete on my classes, save for Math and Home Economics. The next year, I had to take and pass all 9th and 10th grade classes. I graduated on time with the class I started out with. So, looking back, I did pretty well. Then, I decided to go to a vocational school, and after orientation, I told my teacher, I would be there EVERY DAY, because I was going to get the “award for attendance”. It was a modular school, so the first week, we had class on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening. On Saturday we were to have our first test. I got up really early, drove to a diner close to the school, and sat and studied for 3 hours, before taking the test and getting 100%. So I continued to do this every week, and not only did I get the ‘attendance award ‘ also made it onto the “President’s list”. Not until I saw myself as a good student, did I achieve the result. And as the second point, about resolutions. Since I had started smoking in the early 80’s, to try and fit in, I had quit smoking multiple times. Only to start again. Once I had quit for over 6 months, and then started up . My brother, who had been a smoker in the early 80’s also, and successfully stopped, used to give me grief about it. And on this particular day, he said “why did you start again? I stopped, you can too, Make it your New Year’s resolutions to quit” I replied “Do you know anyone who keeps those? I’ll make a deal with you, you quit bugging me, and I will stop when I’m ready.” So, shortly there after, on February 23, 1994 I stopped smoking and have never even thought about picking it up again “ Our minds our absolutely amazing. Thank you for your time, Much Love and God Bless You

I grew up with negative nurturing and hadn't realized how the hyper-vigilance I developed to protect myself led to deeply ingrained negative thinking. One day while washing dishes the dish soap slipped from my hand for a micro second. I even caught it before it hit the sink. In that brief moment I realized I felt an intense shame for dropping it. Now I notice how often I am simply thinking negative possibilities in every action and deep shame for perceiving minor anxieties about my actions. June became "Focus on what positively energizes me" month, where I reminded myself to shift away from negative thoughts and towards something I was excited about in the moment. July is "Stop Complaining" month, where I notice when I am being judgmental about anything-like traffic, the heat, the news, work, taxes, whatever. I like that teeter-totter balancing act analogy. It's funny to realize I even shamed myself for not being perfect at self-improvement, lol. It's sort of like working out at the gym-if I over do it I'm in pain for weeks and get weaker and weaker if I don't rest and rehydrate, but then some days I just need to show up and not wait until everything is perfect and simply put the time in.

Pure Living Family, Practicals are needed to reduce negative thoughts permanently. . Do the above meditation daily to have a good life. Read about positive effects of breathing on the brain on google search. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor. a

I fully believe in keeping your word. If you aren't going to do something then don't speak it because it's all about integrity. When it comes down to it your word is all you have and all that really matters. You can decide what happens in your life by choosing what you think/talk about to yourself and others! I'm a firm believer that our lives are a direct byproduct of the choices we make on a daily basis which are a direct byproduct of our thoughts and beliefs. From the stories about the baseball player and the SAT score to the idea which is new to me of “Neutral Thinking” y’all just opened up a whole new world for me!! And my gosh going forward I will watch my mouth! At times I can be a bit of a venter in my overwhelm and I see SO clearly how that has not served me. EdMylett My golden nugget moment for me was taking a neutral idea to everything so you are not over or under compensating the value of the information received. If you form a HABIT of no negativity behavior over time you should be able to change that inner mindset. An environment of neutrality or positivity can basically change the person you are today. What you believe is who you will be. Reminds me a quote I always see with the baby tiger in the mirror seeing himself as the big strong mighty tiger.

Interesting, entertaining, and a plain language approach summary which is easy to understand. A deeper look would delve into quantum physics, which explains everything is energy. A thought is potential energy which is stored energy of position (gravitational). Once a thought transfers into spoken words, the energy becomes kinetic (sound). Kinetic energy is described as energy in motion. Manifestation is merely a byproduct of two functions the portion of the brain called the reticular activating system (RAS) controls. First, information is filtered and limited by the RAS to focus attention on what is deemed important and necessary. Second, the RAS acts as an ego defense mechanism by actively seeking out information to prove your belief system is correct. Where a person applies their attention is where energy (mental) is exerted, thus your attention has provided instruction to the RAS, what I said is important let this information flow freely. The term stacking in NLP is called a feedback loop, resulting in hyper focus due to the reptilian (primitive) brain function of fight or flight. Even though it is the individual speaking the words causing the issue, the brain still interprets the situation as a threat. As a defense mechanism which is no longer useful, the heightened sense of awareness was meant to keep us safe, but the brain cannot interpret the difference between actual physical threats to that hurt my feelings situations. What do you call an occupancies of placing energy into motion, providing instructions to the brain where focus and attention should be applied, and finally having the brain actively seek out situations to prove you are correct to protect you? Some call it Manifestation, some simply call it unintentional or intentional attention. When GPS coordinates are carelessly or thoughtlessly provided to the brain as definitive directions, the aimless direction provides an equivalent destination. Live a life with guided intention, take back the wheel and steer away from the habits which are no longer useful. Cheers

EdMylett firstly, thanks for responding. Good question. I had to take some time to think this over as it was a well balanced interview, I particularly appreciated the part on neutral thinking, excellent!! However, there was one thing that resonated with me and which I would have liked to hear more on and that was how practically to deal with negative thinking with positive thinking. If negative thoughts spoken out loud are 4 x 7 times more destructive does that then mean that positive thoughts spoken out loud are more affective? If so expound. It is something I am haunted with. Btw I bought his book (audio) after watching that interview, so hopefully he expands on that a little more. Mick 😉
