It's not just the State of China or any other State, or corporations buying land. It is the acquisition of resources below the dirt they also wish for. Land, Water rights, Grazing rights, mineral rights and if you stand your ground they hit you with the government or public utilities need this land for the greater good. When you finally have that Deed, or Great grandpa's deed is now in your name, doesn't matter. Truth is, you have never owned anything, worked for, or inherited. You still have to fight for it. 2A if needed. 🤠

My little home here in Carson City was also built in 1954. We need to go back to local farmers providing milk and eggs like we did back in the 60s. I miss the "milkman." We must stop foreign entities owning our land/foods!!!

When I was young, I use to complain about living in Ohio. However I’ve come to see it’s a fertile state. We can grow any crop without irrigation. I can find local beef everywhere. Honey, maple syrup, produce…you name we got it. Montana while beautiful is a desert with mountains that has been governed, poorly for 50 years. Wyoming is the only state with balls left out west….

3 years ago, me and my son bought a small plot (16 acres) in central AR. It was intended for a hunting lodge. Now, we are spending legal fees to battle the state highway department over an eminent domain case. They’re trying to take 5 acres of our 16 total for 30% of what we paid. How is this “just compensation?” This pales in comparison to the western ranches I know, but it still resonates.

Here in Illinois it’s not the Chinese who are buying it’s the Church of Latter Day Saints. In fact of the top 10 buyers it’s all good Ole Americans.

I have said it before ranchers and farmers have to band together to demand change. My grandaughters I introduced to raw milk a couple of years ago.

My dad - R H Peterson - sold his thousand acres farm north of Cut Bank in 1960 due to several factors one of which was government intervention similar to those in this video. Kind of glad my pop got out of the farm business.

That is pure fantasy about Wayne Hage from Nye County Nevada. It all started when Hage cut a few trees along an irrigation ditch that went across Forest Service land. Except, it wasn't a few trees and they weren't just along the ditch. He might have used a little of the wood himself, but he mainly sold the pinyon and juniper for a profit and it wasn't much. However, rather than taking a small fine for not applying for a permit, Hage bowed his neck and fought, eventually getting his grazing priviledges revoked. He claimed that by having water rights, he was the only one who could graze the area, but his convoluted thinking was wrong. You get the right to the water by having the grazing permits. Continuing to graze without permits, he became a darling of the "Sagebrush Rebellion." Since he could not graze cattle on USFS land, he could not put the water to beneficial use and he lost the use of the water. Wayne Hage is portrayed as some kind of martyr, but he was just an obstinate, bad rancher. I got along with a lot of Nevada ranchers and I never had dealings with Hage or his family, but he was no rancher to hold up as an example.

Farmers in the Imperial Valley in Southern California use flood irrigation, too.Water applied when it’s 100 degrees outside is very inefficient- it just evaporates. The hay guys get 13 cutting of alfalfa or grasses per year.

So, so much for getting important information like this out because the problem is those older generational farmers knew this land well and yet we are being run into the ground by people who have served us wrong for a very, very long time and now we are causing serious problem to our food resources. If we cant get to the root of the problems we cant fix anything. For me we are at war of survival, stop killing US farm/ranching industry we need these people and we need the ones who understand the whole issue. One more thing... Mon...san...to, the problem began when an ex CEO was placed head if F...DA. This was during Cl...in....ton reign and this is how this company was to infringe on US ban to own seedlings, this is why this company engineered it, had nothing to do with a better seed but to eventually own power over food and its high time we get back to freedom of food that our forefathers protected for good reason.

Hi Im South African, and china in zambia is a growing threat to our trade with the nation. Currently China has ladled Zambia with debts that they will never will be able to repay without great expense to it and have used that to leverage buying large tracts of soy bean, sunflower farm lands that are used mainly in cattle feed in South Africa. There has now been a ban on agritrade imposed by zambia on SA to focus those resources on the Chinese market...interesting times

You really should get your facts straight on dodge diesels. First 5.9 cummins in a dodge was 1989. I have a 1990 dodge cummins with a 5.9 that I bought brand new for 16 17 thousand IIRC. I should check the paperwork but it was well above 10k.

So, if a landowner sells his development rights , then gets payment, can that buyer sell the rights to “Natural asset companies”. They are the new ideas for outside investment for the future where other investors can own something. It looks to me others could have a say in the management of a farmer/landowners land all of a sudden.

S. and China, now routinely electronically generate monies in order to meet federal expenditures without any real negative consequences, and without the need to have even one cent of federal tax revenue $s to be involved, but to this very day this reality of our being able to electronically generate these $s is still not being publicly acknowledged by either nation, as in - WELCOME TO NORTH KOREA, when it comes to censorship and suppression of information. Why not use your RU-vid to promote regen ag, support government policy to support it, and bring it back like White Oak Pastures had done and so many others in Montana and Livingston are doing?
