Very helpful! I just bought a Chanel mini rectangular and wonders if I should put the bag in the box or in the dust bag? After watchjng your video, I think I should keep all my Chanel bag in the dust bags instead of keeping them in the boxes
hahaha thank you, Kelly! You are the sweetest!! I'm glad you found me and I'm really happy to continue to share :) If there is anything you'd like to see in the future, definitely let me know!!!
Thank you for the conditioner suggestion! I just received a white grained calfskin (is this what they call 'caviar leather'?) and Chanel has not been helpful AT ALL in suggesting regular maintenance tips to prevent the build up of hand oil.
Thanks for another helpful video! I have been thinking about buying hermes mini halzan in color celeste. Would love to hear your opinion about the Halzan bag, as well as the color. Please help me! You are always so honest, I trust and value your advice!
Dear Helen, thank you so much for trusting me, haha! I have to stay that the celeste is a fun color! I never looked into the Halzan bag, so I just looked up rstyle.me/+igBoDs361yx8MVmv6Skfmw, do you know if the top flap is suppose to be able to drape flat to the front of the bag? The reason I'm asking is because, take a look at the model picture, the front flap is protruding out. Is that normal for the Halzan bag? Are you planning to get it in swift? Do you like swift? This is also something to think about. Looking at the price, be aware that it will not resell very well in the future:P Just a FYI. But if you are 100% in love with the Halzan bag, I say go for it! I hope it helps! :)
Love this! I saw that you used the leather conditioner on your Constance 23. Have you tried it on lambskin? I'm trying to remove color transfer from a white lambskin bag.
Thank you so much for making this video esp the part about how to remove color transfer. :) Did you use any special kind of cloth or technique when using the Cadillac conditioner to remove the color transfer?
Thank you for your comment, Helen! I'm glad you like the remove color transfer part. No special cloth, anything that is white and soft. I use the same motion as how to buff out the dust and stains in general, just small circular motion! I hope it helps! Did you get any color transfer?
@@SasaZoe Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! :) No, I haven't experienced any color transfer yet, but that's b/c so far I've only stuck to black bags. Have you experienced any color transfer using lighter colored SLGs in darker colored bags? I just bought a light pink cardholder and want to use it in my black classic flap but am worried about color transfer. Txs!
@@HJ60123 Hi Helen! I have a red Chanel card holder in lamb skin. Because the lamb skin is so delicate, it definitely got a lot of wear and the color red turned into the red mix with black because it rub against with other things in my bag all the time, lol I showed this SLG in ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RDtfduQhvCs.html video, you can take a look at the condition of the SLG if you are interested. I hope yours is in caviar leather at least so it's not as delicate as lamb skin.
@@SasaZoe wow. Your reply was so helpful. Thanks for sharing! :) Unfortunately my cardholder which will arrive tomorrow is lambskin. I guess I’ll just have to be careful. Lol. ;)
Hi babe, what about those packet dehumidifier? Does that work? My house don't have much place to get a dehumidifier. Yeah i live in a country that is hot, humid and wet all year round. Yes definitely i don't store my handbags in any boxes. Last year and even this year, don't get to use my handbags so much since is Covid, i will air them when i am at home and yes definitely check and clean all my handbags after each use. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Shana, I see your point, the dehumidifier I got is good size for sure. The reason I got this big size is because our place has a lot of moist and you will not believe that it doesn't take long time to fill up the entire 50 pint, lol I personally never tried packet dehumidifier, but I suppose they should work just not as powerful. You can try and see how it works out for you. Let them air out is a good way. I'm glad you found these tips are useful!!! Best luck! Let me know if you have any additional questions:P
Wonderful tips, great video! I have nail polish stain on this inside of Chanel bag in caviar. I am afraid I may damage the leather if I try to remove it. Do you know how to remove it? Any suggestions?
Thank you, Lily! Honestly, I'm afraid of the same thing as you are afraid to damage the leather when it comes to nail polish removing. Have you tried to take it to Chanel or any third party leather company for service? You know they are the expert and might be able to provide you a good result!
@@lilyv7920 Sorry to hear! Yea I can imagine. Chanel couldn't remove one of the color transfer on my handbag either and they asked me to look for other alternatives. I think you would have to decide, if you are willing to run the risk to try it yourself or maybe look up some third party company that is willing and might be able to remove it for you. How old is your bag? What color is it?
So true. All handbags need care. I don't believe people who say that they don't baby their bags. I tend to think that they have some hand maidens to do everything for them or they don't use their bags❤️
Indeed, you are always so wise!! Our bags just need love too! Hand maidens are so nice, haha! Do you usually baby or care for your Chanel bags or bags in general? I'm sure you know a lot of information already. Do you still find anything I mentioned was useful? :)
@@SasaZoe Yes I very much care for my handbags, learnt from past experience when I have worn a few bags to the ground with the mentality of "just enjoy your bags". Now I also appreciate preloved bags when minor wear, especially if I know it's just a trendy bag. Yes still enjoy your content and speaking generally about luxury for fun ❤️ keep them coming xx
@@DaniOchannel That totally makes sense. Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you enjoy my content and this means so much to me!! Thanks again for your sweet comment!!! :)
Thank you, my dear Erlin! I feel you must know most of them already since you have a really nice collection! Which one you found the most helpful? :P I'm curious! BTW, happy Thursday to you!:)
Do you use a protectant/waterproof spray before using your Chanel and/or any other leather handbags? If so, which brand? Thanks, I'm a new subscriber & I love your tips!
I purchased a Chanel handbag almost a week ago in a light blue/minty green, after only a week, I’ve noticed a very OBVIOUS color transfer from a dark clothing i was wearing at that time. Does this mean its fake ?!
Have you tried the Cadillac cleaner/moisturizer on lamb skin and goatskin? If so, did it work without damaging the bag? Chanel S.A. told me they use a water based moisturizer but they were not allowed to mention a specific brand.
Yea, not only lamb skin, I tried in other types of leather too. The times I was able to get the stain out with the leather conditioner was all the times that I discovered the stains early on and used it immediately. The ones I let it set it for too long, I was not able to remove it. That's why one of the suggestions I mentioned in my video is to check your bag after every use. This condition was recommended by my Chanel SA as I mentioned in my video and I saw him using it on lamb skin bags when the bag got dirty on display. It works wonders. I'm guessing your SA were using the same one, hehe. I hope it helps!
Sasa Zoe the one about not keeping bags in their boxes Bc they need to breathe- guilty 🙄😅. Also it’s true even if u nor Chanel can do anything, someone else may be able to! Ty love for always being so concise with your content! Have a safe great weekend ❤️
@@elisa8251 Thank you for sharing! I definitely learned the someone else may be able to do it if I ever run into the same situation again! Glad it was helpful! You have a safe weekend too, my dear
