hi please help me. i live in a very humid place and i folded my wedding banarasi according to ur instruction. today i found one of my heavy banarasi saree kind of damp despite using silica gel. what should i do now? i just put it a hanger today. please help me. i dont hav a mother to help me.
Yeah, most important about perfumes n deo is due to alcoholic property in deodarants the silk tends to get burnt slowly It's my personal experience So don't ever spray directly on the garment
Hi JFC!!! Thanks for sharing the very useful tips to maintain silks sarees. I've been using hangers to hang my silk zarig sarees. how much is the saree storage bags? does it really work as the muslin cloth bundle?

Hi i feel both have their own benefits saree storage bags are like net material so they give good air dry to saree. and muslin cloth is always good for silk sarees as our grandmas way of saree storing. So both are good if you have space to hang them then use saree bags and keep them hanging.
Hi Suvarna nice to know ur from Bangalore too. While washing bandhani saree dont brush them or dont squeeze them just wash and dry. If u wanna iron give mild iron as bandhani looks good when its little crushed, and to store since its sensitive material store them in a plastic bags (Transparent ones ) and store them so the iron sits well. You get Sandal fragrance sachets from Khadi Bandar or Kaveri Emporium. Why dont you buy it and keep inside the saree and store it.. See after few days.
Sure dear. Pls try in this places there is kanchi co operative shop in gandhi bazaar, and also try in nalli silks and deepam they have some nice sarees, My sarees have been purchased in kancheepuram AS BABU SAH shop.
