For years removed agm battery,s before storage. Last five years had left them in motor home after making sure they are fully charged and unhooking negative terminals and haven’t had any problems. Come spring hook them back up and motorhome starts up with no problem. Live in eastern Ontario where temperatures get below -40*C frequently.
Those pile of rocks are called Rock cairns have appeared countless times throughout history. The name originates from a Gaelic term that means “heap of stones.” It was likely first coined by Scots who used them to mark trails across grass-covered, hilly landscapes.
EGGS: freeze individual eggs (whisk first) in muffin tins, freeze, pop them out and put in freezer bag and into the freezer. When ready to use take out the night before or put in bowl over hot water to defrost faster. Also freeze dry or dehydrate eggs.
IS Very timely! Just doing that now! All winterized, but might take off that way . Love the Emerald Coast. Peppermint oil all over the place and hanging anything of cloth. Take any cardboard out. Take away they will want to make a bed out of. Stand all cushions on end. Leave no cuddly places.
Just my personal experience using a cover for the past 7 winters, I would not purchase one again. The cover was in place for about 5 months over the winter months, yet the RV still has some UV damage and especially fading paint. I believe the summer months (when uncovered for most of us) are more damaging to the finish, seals, etc than during the winter months. I suppose it's also possible that the fading, etc could have been even worse without using a cover during the winter months, but as for me I would not recommend.
The gas shortage is not the fault of one person. I really do not like the blame game. It is because of the world situation and people's inability to communicate and work together. I believe in the Golden Rule.
I listened to both podcasts, they are definitely worth saving for future reference, thank you. I was hoping Todd would touch on how to camp once winterized. I have been procrastinating because the weather has been so beautiful here in southwestern Ontario. Last week I camped on Lake Huron. This week is very mild as well. I know you have done a winter camping video, but do you think we can ask Todd about do’s and don’ts once rv is winterized? In particular, people have different opinions on how/whether to use the toilet, that would be my biggest concern. Thanks again 🇨🇦
