How to Straighten a Warped or Wobbly Turntable Platter 

Thank you so much! My dad bought me a turntable to really cheap and it came with a warped platter. It affects the playing quality of my records, so I’ll definitely be trying this!

I did the screwdriver thing with a Technics SL-23 today, without the heat. It reduced my wow by about half.

I bought an AT LP-120XUSB that had a warped/wobble platter (and a motor problem when playing 78’s). So I bought a Pioneer PLX-500 which came today-it has a warped platter as well. You can’t really tell sound wise unless it’s a warped/off-centered record. But the warped platter causes the arm to weave back and fourth. You seem more handy with this stuff than I am. I couldn’t find any info except for your video.

Yeah I think I'm just ordering a replacement platter I'm not that skilled
