I will pay good money for someone to fix my $8000 VR system that Steam told me to FUGGED ABOUT IT and maybe find a local tech person who works with computers and shit, you know, an idiot nerd living in a van down by a river. Dude, best guide I have found. First person to show how to actually capture game audio. Other guides say to use a mic close to your headset to capture audio from your headset that way. Thank you so much man.

Finally another Mac user! I've watched at least 7 other videos that are 3x as long that just dump a bunch of random info. You actually made this easy as hell. Do you have any tips on getting the Quest gameplay to output in a 16:9 aspect ratio?

haha hey rick I feel you on the mac life in vr and if you want to go 16:9 in that browser window there should be a cog wheel in the bottom right corner that will give you an option to go wide. Hope that helps!

I cant find the best tutorial for the pure PC recording of VR gameplay using quest 2 with cable to PC, i dont want to record within the headset, i want to play a VR game on PC with headset on and record the mirrored image WITH audio that is displayed on the PC monitor. Any tips or ideas for that? Also without the shaky movement?

[PLS HELP] so i’m doing this on streamlabs obs cuz obs says it can’t record it and it works but it’s 1. showing gameplay in the window through the website it’s not making it full screen 2. when i hit “interact” and unmute the gameplay it then begins to play sound and it shows that it’s capturing it but when i record stuff and check the footage it’s all empty audio

I often heard about the fact, that you only can stream to your PC with 36fps(?) with kinda lower quality? I've seen many gameplay videos on youtube with the meta quest and I'm wondering if everybody uses this way to record their gameplay, because it often seems very smooth and with high quality. Via cast-function you also can use the widescreen-setting to go to landscape mode. Is this the way every quest streamer/let's player goes? In PC-VR with my oculus Rift S it was very easy to stream, because the game was also streamed at my desktop automatically. :D Great video, greetings from Germany!

I will have to try this method, since I can't seem to understand some of the other videos that suggested using other Video Editor Programs. I'm trying to record my gameplay of Into the Radius and Demeo, but first video I did, seemed rendered in 720 or something and the audio lagged in parts.

How would I record gameplay when playing PC games on my Quest 2 with the cable? It seems that all audio when doing PC VR gaming goes straight to my quest 2, and if I unmute the casting footage on my PC, it'll start to create this endless audio loop. Basically Audio from headset goes to PC, which I later end up hearing on my Quest 2, and then it loops. Is there a setting for my Quest 2 PC gaming where I can set the audio to go to both my headset AND PC speakers?

quick question, if I were to play with friends and say we either used the oculus 2s calling system or even game chat would the audio go over into obs as well or would it not count them in, I tried recording using the record software in the actual oculus itself but my friends never came through into the recording.
