Just used on metal hvac registers and its a real pain to clean up. Used alcohol and the metal is still slimy. I'll next use a torch and cook this stuff off. Seriously, it was easier to use a regular paint stripper that cleaned with mineral spirits.
Did you apply stripper wash or mineral spirits to remove the stripper after the wet towel? I ask because I see a bottle of something else in the video.
I actually had pretty good luck with mineral spirits stripping doors and drawers of kitchen cabinet, but lots of work I personally found the fine steel wool useless. I did more with regular steel wool you use to clean pots and pans and palm sander and brass brush.
Other videos show the chemicals are just as bad. Only this citristrip is not as smelly. It is not as good as the others. You still need a respirator or outside.
To answer my own question, yes (but be careful) I used it on my stool and it got 75% of it off. I put the seat in the bathtub, covered it in Orange goo and let it sit over night. I ran water over it as I scrapped to paint off, it took over an hour but it worked well enough
