Well this turned out even better than I imagined! I really thought I had stuffed this up halfway through, but I'm so happy with how it turned out. I can't believe this oven cleaner hack is truly this simple. Just spray it on, and hose it off! The hardest part was waiting for it to do it's thing!
Using oven cleaner to strip furniture is so easy! Especially for pieces which are too ornate and detailed to sand. I think I am definitely going to be trying this again at some point, I just have to wait until I find the right piece!

I am blown away by this process! AND you didn't have to take the hardware off (usually for me the worst part of these tasks lol)!!! Excellent job and thanks for sharing your video! (and I learned a new phrase, "I stuffed it up!" lol....awesome!) :D

Yes I feel very lucky to have such a rare piece! I have been looking for something similar to complement it for the other side of the bed but I’m not finding anything that even comes close. It’s making me realise what a find this was!

Phoebe, next time you need a flathead screwdriver try using a butter knife. Most times a thin one works in a pinch!! It is a beautiful piece of furniture...Lucky find!!

I know what you mean, I think once the beautiful smell fades away I might do another project staining it dark again. I think it’s such a beautiful piece of furniture that it really can pull off any look 💅

Just to make the drawers run smoother! It’s only along the bottom of the drawers and the parts of the cabinet the bottom touches. It’s a good hack for any wood drawers because they can get really stuck over time 😊

I upcycle furniture and would still recommend waxing the whole piece re protection also will bring out wood grain but ofcourse personal choice
