The main sections you need to worry about is Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, and Mathematics Knowledge. Focus doing good on these and you will get a decent score. For math remember your formulas.
oh my goodness! Thank you for sharing from the bottom of my heart bro. Today I took the asvab text and I got a 7 and I was really discouraged but at the same time I wasn't going to give up. Let me just say God was really speaking to me through this video Thank you for sharing I'm definitely going to take your advice ❤. God bless bro!
I don't usually watch videos like this (not really my style of video), however I'm here to support you, and I actually really enjoyed your video as it was made well and was engaging. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback. Also, I'm not tailoring content specifically towards The Military or study tips or anything like that. I'm just trying to find my niche. But thank you!
The asvab for dummies is useless it just gives you the answers and not explain it very well I like the book you showed in the video has lots of great practice test I can study off of and good explanations as well
Thank you so much Sir😊😊. This book is so big and I'm not understanding that where are the answers of questions. I mean there are like set 1, set 2, set 3 and many others but where is answer of these questions. Plz if you know so help me. Thanks again😊😊
Hey bro how can you access practice test and quizzes on the Kaplan website? And also, does khan academy provides like ASVAB arithmetic reasoning practice test and quizzes or just sat math?
Hey bro when i went to the Kaplan website from the book kaptest.com/moreonline it says that i need to unlock some kind of digital assets in order to access the practice test in Kaplan. And when i want to khan academy the website i just saw sat practice test and not ASVAB? are you sure khan academy does ASVAB arithmetic reasoning?
@@carloskeegan2328 Yes, Im sure. I remember that I had to go through certain pages and put in the code it told me to and i had access. I dont have the book in my possesion any more so I dont remember what I did.
Hey bro can you show me where is the access code is in the book or explain your process on how you were able to do practice test through Kaplan website? And for khan academy there's not a specific ASVAB video about arithmetic reasoning or anything like grammar hero? because for Khan academy i didn't see no specific ASVAB video? Have a goodnight and God bless you bro.
Well no, it really depends on what job your trying to get. So if you job requires a high score in a certain category then whatever category it’s in is what you want to aim high for. But math overall is most important because usually that’s what people struggle more with. And getting a high afqt score will get you a good score even if you don’t score well outside of that.
@@damikoeliam2724 The asvab will aways be different for everyone, Im not sure if they update the type of math on there, but there's a chance an older version of the book can be of good use. Although I do suggest trying to get a more recent version XD.
After 5 long months a yfn finally passed his test🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾....an I will say this U DO NOT!!!! I repeat U DO NOT need this book....what u need to do is get on Facebook an go see MR.(Fernando Cardona) I went from a 24-71 in just 1 month in his coarse!!!!! Do it it’s worth it no cap 💪🏾
Hey bro so I’m 26 and I’ve been trying to join the Navy for about 2 years now. The problem I have is I scored a 35 both times (qualified to join), but I didn’t qualify for the jobs I wanted. I bought the 2020-2021 ASVAB for Dummies book yesterday, but I was wondering if you would just recommend studying the areas that focus on the job you want?
David Cardenas yeah I also bought the ASVAB for dummy book, they’re okay but they don’t really explain things step by step aswell as this book in the video. As far as studying goes, yesh you should be trying to get a high score in the areas you need for your job, but if you score high in the math comprehension, paragraph comprehension, word knowledge, and arithmetic and reasoning, that is the afqt score it will boost your score overall score but you do need to hit the minimum requirements for the score you need for your job.
Gabriel Fernandez Thanks for replying man. I ended up returning the Dummies book for the one you showed in the video. Btw man do you think 30 days is more than enough to study if you’re not working or doing anything?
I finally passed my ASVAB thanks to Mr Clark who helped me with his tutoring. He has good tips and questions for everyone willing to join his group.I was recommended to him by a friend even though it took me time to trust in him but at the end I was happy for the good work.I want to take this opportunity to tell you all to join him and trust in him despite the process. Thanks to him I had 89AFQT.After five attempt unsuccessful I finally made it.
I cant remember its been a while since I've used it. But I think its the front page. If the book is used then the code for the website was probably used aswell.
Study prefixes and suffixes. If you can understand those pretty well. Even if you don’t know the meaning of a word the pre fix or suffix will give you a hint to it’s meaning.
@@CloudyGabriel I'm going in shortly not long from now, just wanted to ask did you get any questions on the asvab that were similar to the questions in the book ?
@@mr.sirrano4496 message me on Facebook I will give you the words that will come on the test. Or you can comment with your Facebook name I will message you
It kinda gives you an overlook on how you should study. It should have a diagnostic test in there to test your skills on certain subjects. and then when you get your score it should tell you what you need to focus studying on.
Yeah, the lowest score you can pass with I beleive is a 29, but if you get a low score like that it’s passing but you won’t qualify for many jobs. That doesn’t mean you don’t qualify for any jobs, just that you qualify for a small variety of jobs.
@@CloudyGabriel don’t you qualify for infantry if you score a 31 which is the minimum score required to enlist for the army ? Do you know what jobs are available if you score a 31-35 for the army ??
Forgetchamacallit2000 ay bro just take your time and find a study method that suits you best. I also recommended to check out grammar Heros videos because he explains math concepts and other things it helped me out and I suck at math. I didn’t do particularly good in highschool either, and I got a decent score. Just put some faith in yourself. Give yourself a good amount of time to study and when you feel ready take the test. You got it man.
I literally just finished watching your video lol. I ordered that book last week too and just received it yesterday. I'm also familiar with Grammar Hero. Hey I took the pre-test 3 times two in the army and one with the marines with scores of 46, 44 and 34 with the marines but this one was timed and harder for some reason. Do you think I'm ready for the actual asvab?

You're not wrong about english being important, but its not more important than the math. if you get a high math score you'll be able to qualify for most jobs.
Whats most important is the AFQT Score which is a combination of Arithmetic and Reasoning, Math Knowledge, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension. Most people arent as good at math as they are at english, which is why the primary focus should be on math for most people.
