I am am accounting major at UND in North Dakota but don’t plan on staying here after school. Would I have to get licensed in whichever state I end up in or can you use an out of state CPA license at firms?

My firm wants us to have an active License in whatever State our office is located. So If you were working in FL, but from NY, they would want a NY license. But this may vary depending on employer.

I would recommend getting licensed in whichever state you plan on living in.
