I‘m finally starting university after working for three years after high school. I used to watch these types of videos and get really overwhelmed but now I finally feel like I‘m ready and get excited thinking of what I‘m about to learn. Thank you for sharing your tips, i will definitely use them💓
Hey, I hope you're doing well in school right now. It's really admirable that you've worked hard prior to enrolling, and I'm glad you're in school now!
Make learning as fun as possible. As a former medical student, I used totally other techniques for learning. Taking multiple breaks when brain gives signal to do so ( not a clock), breaks for music listening, breaks walking out in nature etc.. Reward your brain with these breaks. Follow what works for you.
The way you explained the pareto principle was great - I hope you return with new videos soon. You're one of my favourite youtubers and you inspired me to approach my own content through a whole new paradigm!

I have long been a fan of the idea that learning is boosted by genuine interest for a subject, and that having fun is a far more effective way of obtaining and absorbing information, compared to when you're bored. Personally, although perhaps slightly controversial, I've never found long, plain text particularly intriguing, and traditional textbook education is therefore not necessarily optimal. For that same reason, I am happy to see how new technological developments are introducing more and more interactive means of learning. Soon, in this new era of digital platforms and AI, I have a feeling education overall is going to be more interactive than ever before. Now, I am not saying it's going to make everyone want to learn everything, but I do believe it has the potential to take away the general perception that "school is boring" which I think is one of the biggest demotivating factors of learning in general. Also, I find the idea of stopping a task when you see the next move rather fascinating, and a practice I haven't quite considered before. It might be something worth testing.
Habit #1 is the idea behind study with me videos. Those can be a useful and effective alternative as well. Or indirect coworking such as going somewhere other people (you don't personally know) are prone to working, such as a library or cafe.
Your RU-vid channel is absolutely amazing! The content you create is both entertaining and informative,The production quality, creativity, and passion you put into your videos are evident in every frame. keeping me hooked with every video. Keep up the fantastic work, you're doing a fantastic job! 😊👍
As a future doctor myself I understand how challenging it can be to effectively manage our time. I can across your videos through Ali Abdaal (the productivity expert 😂) and honestly I’m really impressed I think this is great advice. Thank you !
There is a saying" sophisticated summary (which is less) > complicated un-organised details(which is more)", well that is 2 words more than "less is more", the point is readers could understand "sophisticated summary" better than less, less may be the result.
You heard it hear from a Cambridge university graduate and doctor that working less is beneficial. Thx Dr. Izzy. I will use this in my argumentative essay
I've heard the Pomodoro technique explained dozens of time and this is easily the best, and most thorough, explanation! (Outside the book 😅) Great video!!
I know I have to work hard for a better future but the knowledge that working hard doesn't guarantee a better future and I won't know until I get there takes all the motivation to study out of me... I will try my best to follow these tho! Love your videos ❤❤
@@stevebelzer4758at the same time, without a some losses and effort, there is no great tasting victory 🏆! might as well give as much as we can so we can get the rewarding future we deserve:) if we put no effort, we'll never know our true potential
Thanks for your nice sharing. I love your tip about when to rest. When you know how to resume your work, it is an excellent time to take a break. I will try this suggestion. I tried to use the interstitial journaling method to remind my current progress in the study or work when I was going to take a break, which can be a hint for restarting my work.
7 Life-Changing Study Techniques from 7 Years at Cambridge University. The video is engaging and grips the viewer from start to finish. Watched the video on Aug 13, 2023 very like. Thank you
Hi Izzy! Your content is really helpful and enjoyable to watch❤ I live and study outside of the UK. I enjoy studying medicine but now I'm reaching my last year of medicine where I'll have internships and clinical rotations. I'm very nervous about it. Especially after toxic experiences in the hospitals during my summer internships. Could you make a video on how to deal with this and how to deal with burnout as a working doctor? I've watched the video you made on your experience but perhaps you could give us an update 😊
4 to 6 am. I read in morning I read three books at same time. I work from 6am to 4pm. Then, 6 to 8 pm read again Well, still learning. Downey California ❤❤
Quick note on habit 6: in order to implement diversity (and therefore productivity) into your day, you can also set a main goal for the following topics: work, relationships and health or sports. (Source: Ali Abdaal)
Can u do a video about how to study for very important things like for test...like how to make sure what u read u understand it fully for example I'm going to be a nurse at a hospital
As a US military pilot , and American Airlines 767 captain - this required a LOT air continuous study I AGREE in learning , a study partner is critical
At 10:17 I can see Gray's Anatomy but I am not able to read the three other books. What are those books? Could you please attached links in comments to it and a description of them and from where is possible to buy or download them? Thank you. Have a great day 😃🌞👍❤️
