I dig the look with the trench. You killed this! Question..I wanted to get an Express trench. I’m 5’6 and 190. Little bit of a gut. What size do you recommend?
Thanks man! If you have worn coats or jackets at Express before, go with the size that you’re used to. If not, I would try the large first and if that doesn’t fit the way that you like, size up. Don’t be afraid to check out other brands too.
You cant go by that, you cant go by price or brand name. If you are buying off the rack then its pretty much a luck game of fit. Example you could be lucky and have a $99 JcPenny Trench fit you like a GLOVE SHOULDER PERFECT over a $1,700 Prada trench. Unless youre having your shit tailor measured made ........then you have to try on as much stuff as you can. Also, guys leave those Korean tailors alone and those russian jew wanna be tailors alone,,,,,YOUR TAILOR HAS TO BE EUROPEAN....no americans, no koreans no jews.
So funny story (not really), but I originally got a Large from Banana Republic, but it was too big. I didn’t like it at all. So I returned it and it took a month and a half to get my money back. I was going to exchange it but they were sold out and a week later, they became available again. So I had to get it. Plus it was 50% off. So I got a medium and it worked out. The Blue Express Trench Coat is a Large.
I would recommend that you stick with the size that you typically get. I first ordered this trench coat in a medium because they said that they run large. It was too small for me. Once I switched to the large, it fit perfectly. Make sure that you factor in that you will possibly be layering your clothes while wearing it. You want to make sure that you have room for that too!👍🏾
