How to Style a Shawl Collar Cardigan

Chunky knit with pattern and/or texture really is the key to avoiding the Ned Flanders vibe. It just makes it more interesting in general. I like wearing them over flannel shirts and under a barbour jacket or field jacket for rugged outdoors vibe.

I've been a loyal fan of cardigan sweaters in general for a long time and I particularly appreciate the versatility of the shawl collar cardigan sweater it's one of the reasons I look forward to the fall/winter season you brought something to my attention that I never really gave much thought to and that is how to layer a shawl collar sweater with outerwear I now can expand the ways in which I utilize how I wear my shawl collar sweater thanks for sharing the video much appreciated

Watched this video, never thinking I’d ever use the information. Two days later I was in a church thrift shop and found a JA Banks shawl collared cardigan in blue. I assumed it was “fate” and bought it. Dressed down a bit and wore it to church this morning …. got rave reviews! Wish I could send you a picture. Thanks for all your sage advice. I’ve never been impressed by these …..I saw this video when it first came out ….. the next day I saw one in a church thrift shop, and bought it …. wore it once and loved it …. I now have 3 ….. blue, wine, and gray…… looking for cream one. …… thanks!
