Here is a great project that we finished on how to curl your hair three different ways using a flat iron or hair straightener. I show a few simple flat iron techniques that I hope will help you achieve many variations of waves and curls for your hair. Here I'm going from a minimal hairstyle to a glam hairstyle (from simple loose waves, to defined waves, to tight glam curls) , whichever style you want to create to express your unique beauty. Let me know which one is your go to hairstyle.

I have watched so many videos in the past two weeks. Your video is the first one that breaks down how to hold the flat iron and the different curls that you will get with the placement of the tool and how to twist it. This was super helpful. I have never understood why I couldn't get beachy bearly there bend. This was sooo easy to finally get what I'm doing wrong. Thank you thank you thank you! I couldn't pinpoint why I was always ending with tight curls every time I was using a flat iron, when I wanted more soft waves. I just figured out it's because I don't hold the flat iron at an angle, I was always holding it horizontally. You saved my life. ♥

Wow I didn’t realise the impact of holding the straighteners at different angles. This explains a lot about why my waves are never consistent (either round my head and also from one time to the next). This was really useful thank you. I’m going to practice the angles for sure.

I’m the opposite. I can curl my right hair but my left side is hopeless.

You have to flip the hair differently. Can’t remember which side is which, but if you notice she rests the hair on top of the straightener. On the other side of your head, out the hair on the bottom. This will achieve the curls going the same way on both sides, of this makes sense. I struggled with this for a long time until I watched a bunch of videos and figured it out.

@@marym.8608 idk what you’re talking about. The only time they flip the iron is if you want them to go a dif direction but if you watch this chic, she flips the same way on both sides, only changing the angle slightly for each look.

I can't curl my hair no matter what I do! I used a straightener & a curling iron with the clip I'm so frustrated with it I give up!!! You make it look so easy.

Have you tried using a curling wand with no clip? Just wrap a piece of hair around it and hold it for 10 sec. Remington makes a good one that's super affordable.

Don't try to press the straightener really hard on your hair, it'll destroy it. :) You can do it! Practice makes perfect!

Start practicing with a cold flat/curling iron, trying to do what she does. Angles are important but also the temperature of your iron. The higher the heat, the more likely you are to get a curl and a curl that lasts. Try not to pull your hair so much so that you don't damage it. And find a good iron, not something that ruins your hair, like ceramic plate irons,not ones that just have a ceramic coat over them

Good lord. I did it. I finally did it. I just did a test run and it was STUPID SIMPLE. Turned out perfectly. It was the 90 or 45 degree angle that finally made it click. You’re a wizard, Harry.
