I was a teen in the 90s so I guess the era helped cement what it was about fashion that I loved so much. I certainly always loved a more elegant aesthetic, even in my late teens so it's often those influences that shaped my style today. But not wanting to replicate the 90s like I'm doing fancy dress I prefer to take elements of the old, combine it with the new look and add my own personal touch to it. Hopefully you like the result! As I often do it's a nod to the fashion trend without letting it feel like it's overwhelming me:) I'd love to hear everyone's favourite outfit? And don't forget to take a look at that link above with Jennifer Aniston's haircare range Lolavie, honestly amazing! Please accept my apologies for messing up with the discount code earlier, please enter FASHION at checkout to receive 15% off! I may not be good with discount codes but my hair hasn't felt this good for a very long time:)) Big hugs everyone and I'm looking forward to catching up in the comments x
Dear Jess, I’ve been looking for your code to Lolavie for 10 minutes now 😅🙈 Can you please help me out? I really cannot find it. Thanks and have a great weekend xx
@@orsi6371 Hi, lovely so sorry I messed up and thought the discount code was included in the link, please accept my apologies:/ Please enter FASHION at checkout to receive 15% off. The haircare is fantastic, me and discount codes not so much:/! x
I was in my 30's in the 90's and worked with a high end fashion label as a representative. I wore suits from that label for work every day. Just pure luxury. I love the looks you put together here. Pairing the dark green silk blouse with the grey trousers is beautiful. It gives off a sophisticated vibe.
Your videos are the best Jess. I loved visiting the 90's. I was in my 30's in the 90's and got married in the 90's. I was just starting to really enjoy fashion then. I'm totally a classic minimal timeless style lady. So the 90's were perfect for my style. That is why I still have two beautifully tailored wool coats, several cashmere sweaters and many beautifully taylored blazers from the 90's. I'm 68 and these pieces, if you take care for them and have them cleaned properly will actually last me a lifetime. Your style is so spot on with mine, so I couldn't love your channel more. Ty for your ever constant creative and beautiful content and the time that it takes to make these videos. Sending you much admiration from North Miami Beach.
I absolutely love the 90’s and 80’s looks. I’ve been dressing in this look more and more. I’ve been dressing preppy lately with jeans, button down shirts under vintage Polo sweaters I’ve been buying second hand, and loafers.
I’m so happy the 90’s trends are back, it gives me another shot to strut stuff I cannot afford back then, especially my designer bags . Forever Murakami LV❤
Yes she was brilliant too! All those slip dresses over t-shirts but a nice laidback element to it:) Funnily enough we're off to New York soon and I was just looking at popping into 'Central Perk' for a cuppa with the boys! x
Goodmorning Jess, lovely video as always😊I remember that in the nineties a pair of jeans with T-shirt/roll neck/polo/blouse and blazer was my standard outfit 😁
Yes! So simple and yet so effective isn't it:) It's definitley a trend I feel like I can easily get on board with and actually really enjoy integrating pretty easily. Did you keep any of your 90s clothes out of interest?
Well that was a trip to memory lane… I have to look at my photo albums from the 90’s, but I think you pretty much nailed it 😂 Actually what I like the most is the sartorial simplicity, it has the “quiet luxury” vibes for me. Thanks Jess and happy Sunday 😊
I don't really remember what i wore in nineties!!I must check my old photos.😆 But i remember the '' revolution" of grey. It was everywhere. After that it was purple, i think.(still my favorite colour).Have a nice Sunday!!
Good morning Jess. Happy Sunday! I loved this video. You look so chic in every outfit. I love the new brown skirt and that dark green silk blouse ❤ I love the 90’s style. 🥳 It’s definitely my go to but it has been for years.. 😂 The new links area is great and super easy to see everything you styled. 🙏🏻 Thank you x
I did have a black satin shirt in the 90s, which I bought second hand, and wore it with grey wide leg trousers and a vest. 😊 And I would wear it again if I had it...
I was working in the rather conservative insurance industry during the 90’s and since then I’ve always incorporated elements of the 90’s style in my wardrobe. For one, back then you could find high quality clothing for a reasonable price and the style is classic and I’ve never felt outdated dressing this way.
Morning Jess ❤… the 90’s mmm some of it was great .. I had the Jen haircut.. 😂 .. and 501 jeans and body’s 😅 sadly not really the slip dress .. sadly I’m too bosomy and more hourglassish and most girls looked fab if they were straighter body type ..definitely was self conscious about it , still am now 😐..loved a waistcoat too …as usual great ideas .. 👌✨✨love Pauline 💋
Yes to the 501s🙌🏻 I bet that look ace Pauline:) Slip dresses can be tricky I know, I think I personally feel most comfortable in them with a blazer over the top or a tee underneath:) Hope all is well with you lovely and you’re having a relaxing weekend, I might watch a bit of Friends now to reminisce! 😘
Great video! No flannel shirts though? Lol Agree with your choices except for the tiny bag, in the 90’s ladies mostly wore leather tote bags, big hobo bags and backpacks! 💚
Haha, don’t blame you! Not easy even getting dressed when you’ve got small children let alone dressed up nice! Mind you I put on about 4 stone with each of my pregnancies so nothing fit me either 😩
Hi Jess, love these looks. Where did the brown/black geometric dress come from in outfit 4 of your blog post advertising the Hush belt? (Not on Hush website!)
Morning Jess, I love the outfits you put together. To be honest I haven’t a clue if I am styling the 90’s look 😂 I suppose I already am unknowingly with regard to long satin skirts and soft knits and the jeans with a t-shirt that I like to wear. I always wear high waisted so hopefully I’m doing something 😂 I really enjoy wearing long maxi shirt dresses for work that compliment my hourglass shape so I’m just going with what I enjoy wearing. I used to love Friends and always loved how Rachel was dressed. I hope you’re all doing really well? Take care and sending hugs as always xx
Good morning gorgeous, I meant to thank you actually for that lovely review of my website:) Thank you so much for that and I'm so chuffed to hear you're finding it useful:) Friends is the best isn't it, I still watch it now when I need a pick me up! The haircare range is SO good hun, I might have a little hair session today and just leave that intensive one on for a few hours! It does sound like you're a fan of 90s style even though it's probably subconscious, I love all those minimal slip skirts and understated aesthetics so it's a favourite look for me to style. I keep meaning to ask actually, are you still on the workout mission? I've totally lost my mojo with it and need to get started again, help hahah!! Big hugs hun
@@FashionStyleEdit You’re more than welcome hun! Yes maybe I am subconsciously. I do really enjoy wearing classic pieces and clothes I feel good in. Anytime I wear a shirt dress which is usually small florals I always get compliments which is lovely but I just feel really good in them and wearing dresses is so comfortable and I don’t have to think haha the outfit is put together on it’s own 😂 I have been exercising but not as much since starting my new job. I’ve been so exhausted! I’m currently not well, I’ve got that awful virus which is going around. But when I better I’m getting straight back on it! It’s so easy to stop but so hard to start again isn’t it! When I’m back on it I run in the mornings with my dog and then just do 30 minutes in the evenings. You don’t need to spend hours doing it. I love Pilates and weights and feel my best when I’m doing this. I’ve started playing netball again which is brilliant! I haven’t played in years but it’s a back to netball training so it just 6-7pm once a week which is perfect! Find the training you love and remember that feeling afterwards and how that buzz makes you feel. ❤️
@@nikkikirn98 That's so important, if it makes you feel good then that's absolutley the right choice for you! People often forget to wear what they love, it's all very well wearing on trend pieces but unless you feel comfortable it won't shine through! And thank you for the inspiration to get back to the exercise, it sounds like you have your plate full but still enjoying the process which is great to hear:) I'm going to get this body moving again next week, promise! And if I fail to do so you are within your rights to tell me what for and force me to do it haha! have a good week hun x
@@FashionStyleEdit yeah I 100% agree with you! I train 5 days a week and I think 30 minutes a day is plenty and I do it all from home, it just takes a bit more discipline but it’s worth it.I run or walk my dog everyday minimum 2-3 miles. Haha ok deal, keep me posted hun! Take care lovely and have a restful Sunday xx
Oh no really? I thought it was included in the price? Or maybe that was duties included I was looking at:/ Next time I place an order because I want to keep using it I’ll try and remember and let you know and I can pay the shipping😘
I dud have that 90-s coat, as I was a student. I have never worn it again and never missed it. I wouldn’t wear it today either. So it is not a classic for me.
My favorite outfit is the roll neck with the high-waisted jeans because I wear that look nowadays. Your hair look lovely and your styling is oh so chic.
Hello 👋🏽 my friend Jess, Your hair looks beautiful & shiny. I’m going to have to try your links for a black blazer. I’m looking for one that is not too long or boxy. I will check out your links. Would you consider do a shoe video including some lower kitten heels? Thank you 😊. Cheers 👋🏽😂
Hey gorgeous, hope you've had a lovely week:) Do take a look at the recommendations, hopefully there's one there you like! A shoes video sounds fun:) There was a time when I used to spend all my wages on shoes haha, it was an obsession! Thankfully a lot more sensible with my purchases now so I shall add this idea to the list thanks lovely. Have a fab week ahead lovely and a wonderful rest of your weekend:)
@@FashionStyleEdit I totally understand. I used to be obsessed with purchasing handbags. I have come to my senses (unless it is my birthday. I purchased a new Kate Spade handbag & matching wallet I had my eye on 👁️). Thank you for considering a shoe video. I appreciate you & look forward to your next video 👏🏽👏🏽. Have a lovely week. Cheers 😉🌷
Hi Maria, oh no I’m so sorry I think that’s my fault:/ I assumed my link automatically gave the discount when it looks like I need the code😩 So sorry. I’ve emailed them now and will message you and add it to this description as soon as they get back to me. X
Hi Maria, I just wanted to let you know the discount code is FASHION to receive 15% off. So sorry about that, the hair products are amazing, me and discount codes seemingly not so much!
