Tracy I would like to start by thanking you for your 29 years of service for our country! I love your training videos you are detailed and I appreciate that! I retired a few years ago from the technical world. I’ve just started doing sublimation and am really enjoying it. Your videos have helped me tremendously! If you don’t mind me asking how is your Etsy shop doing regarding sells of your tumblers? Eventually I may want to do this. Thank you again for your great videos!
Thank you very much! We started our Etsy store last August. It started out slow but started to gain momentum around October. We started getting 5 star reviews and at Christmas time we did very well. It has been steady business since then! We also do craft fairs which also helps get the word out about our store.
Hi, just watched this video. I don’t know if it is just the video or not, but it seemed like the tumbler press bottle’s black ink looked darker than the oven one. I really like your videos! Thank you.
Great video! I am new to sublimation tumblers. What tumbler press do you have? You explain things very clearly - thank you! Where do you get the rubber bottoms?
I bought the tumbler press from someone on Marketplace. The brand name is in Chinese but it is very similar to a JTRANS brand. The rubber bottoms came from a batch of tumblers I had previously ordered which came with rubber bottoms and metal straws.
Very cute. How were you able to use these if they weren't prepared for sublimation? Can any glassware be used that doesn't have the sublimation preparation already on it? Thanks so much for video.
Thank you for the video. Big help! I also have a arc mug press. I am having issues trying to find the 20-30oz tumbler attachment. Do you know where I could purchase one?
I found mine after driving to 3 different Walmarts. They are located in the summer section. Not all Walmarts have them from what I have been reading. Thanks for watching.
They look great but just curious if after time it will start to fade. I only asked because I sublimated some journals that took the ink well but after time it fade. So, if I do them again, i know I need to but a sealant on them. Thanks for sharing! Tracey
You do not have to shrink wrap them when using your oven but I suggest you do. The shrink wrap keeps pressure on the design against the bottle and helps prevent ghosting.
@@SnazzyMoonDesigns Thank you for replying. One more question I have the silicone cup wraps that’s what I use for my mugs. I’m going to try the shrink wrap this will be my first tumbler 😊
Awesome teaching! Thank you. Were these just regular glass bottles? Not specifically for sublimation? Another question do you know if a regular oven can be used in place of the convention over?
They were frosted bottles which allows you to sublimate on them. The clear ones will not sublimate. Also is is not a good idea to use a regular oven for sublimation especially if you use it to cook food. A convection oven evenly distributes the heat around the tumbler with the use of a fan or fans.
@@SnazzyMoonDesigns does this mean that you can also put them in the dishwasher? Even though they don't have a sublimation spray like subli glaze on them?
Hi, I’m watching this video right now. Did you have to put something special on the bottle in order to sublimate on it? I thought with glass you had to put it on a clear or white Oracle vinyl in order to sublimate on it. Thanks!
New to sub, I just got my press and had stocked up on these bottles when I found then, I think I have 5 of most colors...if you are doing an image on just one side do you just do 80 seconds total?
I do 380 degrees for 70 seconds rotate and then another 70 seconds. Don't start your first timer until the tumbler press gets back up to temperature after you have placed your bottle in the tumbler press.
Hi and thank you for the video. I tried to sublimate a Glas tumbler (transparate glas) in the often. It didn't work out. I was so frustrated. As I saw in your video, you are using a kind of plastic white bag with you ve put on the glas bottle , I didn't get the name of it and I would be very thankful of you could write me the name of this bag . and one more question, which paper do you use in this video . Thank you so much and regards from Germany :)
What temperature do you use and time for ceramic tumblers? I have made few tumblers and it has tape marks on it, i have my pressure in the lightest setting but still has tape marks and colors are dull and made my tumbler not gloss unkike the oven. I got my tumbler from AGH and my press on AGH too.please help ☺️
I do not like to sublimate my tumblers in a press because the press leaves tape marks and ghosting on the ends of the tumblers when using a dark colored design. I only use a convection oven for my tumblers so they turn out nice every time!
I just bought this same Epson printer…waiting for it to be delivered on Wednesday. Do you like this printer and think it was worth it vice converting an Epson printer? I went with the F170 because I didn’t want to convert, wanted a warranty and support (if needed). I hope I made a wise investment.
Hello, Walmart sold these last summer. I am not sure if they will be selling them again this summer. If not you can get them here: www.aghtumbler.com/Sublimation-Glass-Cups-c830723.html
