I have a tourist visa as well and actually had to leave (and reenter)the country after 180 days which was on the 27th of April. .and I called the frro so many times. First they told me that I should apply for an visa extension. I did so but nothing happened then I called them again and they said that obviously a tourist visa can't be extended. They told if the borders will open in the next week's I should leave and reenter ( to nepal for example. ..) but they didn't tell me about exit permit at all ... :(

This doesn’t work. I’ve been waiting almost 3 days for my permit. Wish it only took 4 hours. Also, the persons at FRRO declined my application the first time because I inverted the last 2 numbers of my passport. Although they had the scanned copy of my passport and could clearly see this was a mistake. All other details were accurate and they just saw fit to decline my app and start the whole process allllllll over again. Nice work FRRO. 😑

How about an spouse visa or entry visa and applied for extension at frro. They accepted the application then messaged us application is in process. Then after 2 days they messaged us again saying visa application extension closed. Like what does it mean? My visa expired now for a wekk because we are waiting for their reply. So what do u think we should do? We do not know if it’s denied or approved because they only say visa application extension closed.

I've been trying to get this answered n get no reply: I had a visa extension granted w but 2 days before expiry. So I applied for a revised extension. Instead I got a Visa Conversion approved till 10-31. I never heard of a V Conversion before. My question - if I leave India before 10-31 do I still need an Exit Visa?? Logic would indicate No, but this is India. (I may apply for one anyway - what could it hurt?)

A genuine question please… When you get exit from the country(India), do you have to go back to your home country (I mean where you originally came from), or you can as well fly to another country provided you have the visa to the (other) country?

My friend from Ukraine she had visa extension till day May 21 2021 staying in property for for more then 9 months however we does not know about c form so far however we have only Registration of c form only so now police star to visit the apart and asking the owner where is the c from owner said I can take out my tenet from my building so far no help we got from any frro office and about Exit visa or permit This lady she staying in gurgaon. Hi my student visa expires next month and I am in America should I apply from here for extension

When I don‘t upload all docs in the first 14 days then I will have to leave anyway after three months & re-entry. Right? (simply with the exit visa) Because I actually am aloud to stay 180 days. Then re-entry with my eVisa (1 y validity) & upload all required docs within the first 14 days of re-entry. Then I can stay long-term in India. Correct? Would I have to do the same again after 1 year? Visa for 1 or more years, if I am not able to register within the first 14 days & upload all required documents then transit let‘s say to Sri Lanka (with an exit permit), re-enter India, register within the first 14 days, all good. (more or less because it simply is a bit of a hassle to upload always all these docs within 14 days) 🤝 🇨🇭

Hello Ben, thank you for the valuable information provided in the video. However, I have a special case. My wife (India Citizen) gave birth to a baby 5 months ago in India. Currently staying in India with baby. I'm an Australian Citizen and child is eligible for Australian passport. It may take another 3 months to get the Australian passport to the child. Once I get the Australian PASSPORT for my child, what should I really apply from FRRO? Exit Permit or Visa? Do I have to pay any penalty of this? Please help as this information is not available anywhere.
