In this video, we will cover three topics:
- Vector subsetting
- Vector Arithmetic
- Object coercion
Subsetting is the operation of accessing elements from a vector. There are different ways of accessing the elements from a vector, such as:
- Name of vector followed by positive integer within square brackets
- Name of vector followed by positive integer within square brackets
- Name of vector followed by logical vector within square brackets
- Another vector to subset a vector
Vector arithmetic is performed element wise. The two vectors should be of equal length. However, if the vectors are of unequal length, the recycling of shorter length vector is carried out. In this video we will learn vector arithmetic and recycling
Object coercion is changing the data type of an object. For e.g. changing numeric data type into logical data type. in this video we will learn the functions used for object coercion.
