Thank you so much for sharing your testimony ! I’m currently in the season of losing EVERYTHING & had to layoff ALL my employees which is indeed the hardest part of this entire turning point 😢 I’m watching your story & immediately felt a burden lifted because you give hope that everything will be ok the moment you changed the narrative of “failure* love you brother 🙏🏽

Thank you 🙏🏼 Small business here. Under threat from council about usage of my premises - despite doing everything right with solicitors etc. The fact that the commercial units in my town are empty means it’s even more ridiculous the council treat business this way!! Unbearable anxiety over this… so I can only imagine the dread over this situation you’ve described. What a message of hope for us all ❤

OMG! I'm not sure where your turning point is exactly but I can relate to the feeling of guilt and you might think you have not paid attention to certain details and then beat yourself up over it. (The company bailing out on the subcontractors). What a horrible story but you have been responsible above and beyond imho. Selling everything to save your business partner is quite the sacrifice. I know many that would have just talked their way out. You stayed true to your values of caring for others.

The moment I realised that I better focus on enriching myself than working for others is when I experienced bullying in my present job. I am giving my 100% at work, investing all my energy and emotions in any task that I do, but still there are people who devaluate my effort and instead amplify my small mistakes, that's when I finally decided I will run my own business than working for somebody who doesn't appreciate my worth.

It’s fascinating how everyone sees the same set of events differently. Even here! This is why I said it’s not as obvious as it seems and even I didn’t know it until much later. Sounds like you had a lot of strong will people. Forgiveness other that you hold dear smothers all flames in breaking heart. Turn point, when you sold all you had to save friend and even asked help from family, to fund selfless deeds are always repayed 10 fold. The ticket to your resuccess.

But please do try to find someone who you trust and has your best interests at heart to speak with as it can be lonely trying to work through this by yourself. Ideally the person should also have prior experience and has a similar business mindset as speaking to the wrong people who say go get a real job and I told you so is also not helpful even if they do care about you. All I can say here is try not to despair. There is usually light at the end of this dark tunnel. When you come out of this you Will be a stronger person. So Stay strong and best of luck 🤞💜

@CEOEntrepreneur
@CEOEntrepreneur 2 года назад
Didn’t matter. In the country where the business was, the person who signs the cheque is personally liable even if you had a holding company or a limited liability company. That’s why other companies insist on a cheque to guarantee they’ll get paid. When my business partner got arrested, he met an accountant who was an employee at another company who got arrested when he signed a cheque that the owner of the company asked him to sign (which bounced) even though the employee had no shares in the company. It’s just the way they do business there. Although I’ve heard this is now changing.

My current business is failing miserably, I took a lot of losses in 2022 and I feel beyond ashamed! What brought me to your channel was your title, but after watching this video. Thank you for transparency, thank you for honest and sincere delivery. I didn't think no one knew how horrible I felt until I heard you speak. I didn't take a super huge lost financially like that, however my company has taken a lost and I'm currently in debt. I want to know how do I rebuild, how do I take the now knowledge I have and rebuild my company all over again from scratch. I feel ashamed because everyone that believed in my vision, I let them down. That part about feeling responsible resonated oh to well. I still feel like I need to build a 7 figure business because I owe my partners and everyone else that believed in me something. I see the benefit in my business as I made over 100K in only 6-8 months. I still see a real future I need to get out of my head and push past my failure and start over, which is something I'm willing to do. What do I do next, I'm headed over to part 2 of your video. How do I talk to you personally? Sincerely, Tiffany Glenn
@CEOEntrepreneur
@CEOEntrepreneur Год назад
Hi Tiffany. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. Been playing a bit of catch up recently. The main thing I want you to do is be kind to yourself. One thing I learnt the hard is that I don't owe anyone anything except those who accept me for who I am regardless. You've been brave enough to take a leap many wouldn't have done and that despite the setbacks, you are following your passion. I know it is easier said than done, but we can learn from our mistakes but try not to let them weigh you down or you won't be able to move forward with the right mindset. Why don't you take this quiz and see where you are right now? And we may get the chance to have a strategy call together to see how I can support you. ceoentrepreneur.com/business-triage/

Dr. Tamer, Thank you for being pure and genuine in sharing your experience as an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship seems to have been glamourized these days and most don’t talk about the terror and anxiety that one goes through in pursuit of their entrepreneurial vision and/or mission; You broke the mold. I’m an entrepreneur and I’m a very optimistic person who always persists even after failing many times over but for the past 2 months, I came across new and various problems, all at once, which led me to have moments second-guessing myself and the path I chose. Your inspiring story gave me additional strength and recalibrated my mindset knowing that I’m not alone and that I too, can and will weather this entrepreneurial storm and will come out stronger and wise to face bigger challenges. I wish you the best of health, wisdom, joy, and prosperity. Sending love all the way from the Philippines ( at 2AM ), M. Chad P. P.S. Your turning point was when you realized your mission is to help entrepreneurs avoid pitfalls and if they do, teach them how to get out of it.

A Massive thank you for this video, your story is perfectly aligned with my current journey as a CEO in groundbreaking sustainable tech innovation with global investment, creditors, HMRC, Team, supply-chain etc. and facing some truly terrifying yet exhilarating scenarios, 5 years in, I am fully aligned with your experiences and stresses, anxieties and pressures that keep you up at night. The hardest part is to take that personal responsibility for the members of your team who have bought into your vision and journey as their own, almost in a parental role, It is a lot of pressure that investors, suppliers, and partners will never really understand and it's all on your shoulders., From my point of view, the turning point is the phrase 'Response Able' that's what I am taking away. Thanks Buddy!

@@CEOEntrepreneur I run my business from Malta first and then from Macau. Fortunately haven't ended up in debts because I was very conservative with team expansion and the size of projects. I lost 3 months of salaries for the 5 people , and two expensive software licenses which I have never used nor I was allowed to resell it. After that debacle , I moved with my savings to Taiwan and where I wanted to vertically integrate. I lacked cutting edge skills so I graduated two masters in Taiwan . Befriended many industrialist from machine tool sector. I thought I would get the push, but basically they had seen me as a threat. My visa was sabotaged by a family of my girlfriend whose brother in law ought to become my partner for a new venture. Anyways, I have not capitulated . I spent three consecutive days on a job search. Even vomitted from too much coffee and a lack of sleep. By divine powers, government of Taiwan employed me. After two years I moved to Germany where I honed two more years in a field of my entrepreneurial interest yet by government financed project. Now I work in my field, as a group lead and developer at Rolls Royce.Although I financially recovered in total, I have never succeeded to gain a momentum and find a partner for ideas I had in Taiwan

Wow. That's some story. I agree wholeheartedly about learning from your failures, I've had many lol. It feels worse though when they're public, especially when you're a bit of a perfectionist. Thanks for the sharing.

@@CEOEntrepreneur Yeah, I think it might. I need to get used to the idea of failing miserably but not intentionally, in front of lots of people, including the ones whose opinion matters to me. Thanks for the reply.

Can we read about the case? Like, "we are not honoring past contracts" doesn't sound legal. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I think the turning point was when you decided to abandon the general routine to pursuit what you thought was right within you which enabled you to take responsibilities for your decision as well as for others and of course couldn't have anyone to blame but yourself. Awesome
