When you own a plot of land, it is important to know what you own. So survey it!

The easiest way is to survey your plot of land is to use a GPS surveying kit. GPS is the easiest way to do land surveying.
With a GPS surveying kit you can land survey a plot of land. In a complete GPS surveying kit there are at least the following items:
-GNSS receiver
-Tablet
-GPS rod
-Tablet holder
-Land survey software Apglos Survey Wizard
-A method of correction
You only need to use some functions in Apglos Survey Wizard to be able to land survey a plot of land.

Hi, thanks for your comment. Apglos Survey Wizard works in Africa. It has predefined coordinate reference systems of Africa integrated. It is not cloud-based. The costs depends on if you have a ntrip network that you can connect to or if you need a rover base solution. If you want to know more about prices then let us know at development@apglos.eu

Hi Juvy Ann, with a GPS surveying kit you can get centimeter accuracy. The bigger your plot is the higher your percent of accuracy is.

With Apglos Survey Wizard it does not matter if you are going clockwise or anti clockwise.

1. How much is all this equipment going to cost me? 2. Doesn't the rod need to be held perfectly plumb and make sure the rod is not bent to get an accurate measurement? 3. How does that send email? Do you have to buy cell phone service for it?

The costs for the equipment depend on lots of factors. A main factor is if you need a rover base solution or if you can use only a network rover. If you can use a network rover then it depends on how much the fee for the CORS network is. If you hold the rod perfectly plumb you get the most accurate measurement. GPS positions always jumps a bit. There are also GNSS receivers with a tilt. Then you don't have to hold the rod perfectly plumb. With the send email option in Apglos Survey Wizard you need to have an internet connection in the tablet or phone. This can be a SIM card or with Wi-Fi

GPS is inherently inaccurate. How accurate is you survey ?

If you use it with a gnss receiver and a rtk correction network, it is centimeter accurate.

Pro survey tech here. This is how you get sued. Edit : With out the survey software? Dude it is not the software, it is a tool. You need knowledge of deeds, past surveys , lots of research if it is in an old area heavily built. I can survey just about anything with a tape and calculator. It is the years of on the job training you pay a real surveyor for. Maybe you do have some experience , I do not know you. But anyone can get lucky and find an old pin or monument. It is the millions of errors and inaccuracies from past surveyors and lawyers coping bad deeds that you need a real surveyor for. What your doing , u can use your phone for. You using a land database tied to your software. It doesn't fix problems. Nothing you did is legal or more than a staking program. I could go all day about what is wrong with all of this.

For most tasks you don't need a professional land surveyor. For some tasks you do. But since there are less and less land surveyors and the demand on geodata is getting bigger, we need a solution. One solutions is Apglos Survey Wizard, that you should use in combination with a gnss receiver. This software is easy to use, so everyone can use it.
