Just remember, the chance of an escator malfunctioning is very rare, plus most escalators have a failsafe mechanism that will stop the escalator when something gets stuck in it at the top or bottom (I speak in experience)
@@Unfunnybozo10 My shoelaces got stuck at the top of an escalator once, the escalator did an emergency stop and didnt go on until the engineer turned it on again with the key. So the chance of actually getting in an accident with an escalator are pretty small.
That mother who got crushed in the escalator saving her child traumatized me before first time watching it. Why didn’t the mall staff pressed on the red button?
This is really off topic but one time my mom told me that my uncle when he was a kid that his shoes got crushed in an escalator and then someone in the mall had to give him free shoes so he didn’t get kicked out True funny story 😂
Repent from your sins and turn to God he died for me and you repent from your sins and give your life to God search up on yt How do I give my life to God,Jesus says I am the way the truth and the light no one can get to the father but through me
Respect to the mother who sacrificed her life to save her child :( Edit: tysm for the likes I've never had this many likes before :) you guys r so kind God bless you guys!!
The chance of someone getting killed on an escalator is very rare. Most injuries come from people not riding correctly. Shit happens sometimes that is nobody's fault. Just like any other mechanical form of transportation things break sometimes due to unseen problems but I wouldn't worry about it..
It'd be nice if escalators had belts beneath the actual stairs so if one gave way it would still be held up on the belt beneath it and nobody can fall through. Because of the escalators' mechanics, have the belt beneath not move with the stairs but sit underneath them in place. I think that and having a more secure plate at the top also with something in place underneath it would be a better idea too. Possibly the best idea a person can have: just make the maintenance crew take better care of them, especially those in China. Edit: Aside from pressing the red button, I don't think there's much of a solution for handling a malfunctioning escalator speeding up. Especially since not all escalators have them...looking at you, China.
Escalators are terrifying, I always try to avoid them and jump over the panel at the end after seeing that video of one collapsing. Idk why they have to be so sharp as well lol
That’s what I thought! I have no idea how one would speed up because the motor goes a specific speed and it doesn’t just randomly change speed. The only way an escalator can malfunction is by not moving.
5:19 - One of the most common faults with elevators (lifts) is that the brakes fail, but that means they fall UP, not down. The counterweight is still attached, and usually weighs about the same as a fully-loaded elevator car, causing the car to go UP and hit the top floor mounts. It's extremely rare for the cables to fail, and all modern elevators have failsafe brakes and other mechanisms to stop the car falling anyway. Unless you're in the movie "Speed", obviously.
I never realised how often this happens and you don't think about people dying from it, injured yes, but dying 😩 . I was thinking I'll take the stairs, but if there's too many stairs my legs will hurt , so I'll take the lift , then at the end of this video it goes on about how to survive a malfunctioning lift! 😱 I can't win 😁
I guess it's all about other people around you not being total assholes so you can avoid injuries that don't need to happen. Because people can be impatient sometimes, which can cause accidents. Just please be safe.
Just remembered that broken escalator and there's to many people but they not building with escalator and please the builder fixing this to dangerous survive
When riding an escalator just walk up or down depends on where you are going just hurry up and get to you destination by walking no need of wasting time on it your barely even using energy
I can't believe the lady saved her son life and you should give her respect if you ever met her and can't believe she got crushed in the jaws of the escalator l wonder how it feel maybe it feel like no breathing and feel sharp like diying I'm so sad that the lady saved her son life and those type of people first who went on and it wobbled abit l panicked then when the lady went l cry felt like l were gonna die and l went china and there was a person wanted a car crash and l saved them but l got alot of injuries
Jump straight onto middle seperation to avoid crush at bottom,or as you approach bottom jump up and forward so you are nearer the top of the crush however when you land you will add further injuries to those beneith you
When i was 3 my foot got stuck in between a escalator crack and my mom ran up the down escalator and got my foot out but cut her hand really badly so respect to the mother that rescued her son, and my moms hand healed in 2 days and mine, i couldn’t walk for a month unless i hop on one foot that i got used too and now i win every stand on one foot challange
My first investment with Mrs Jane gave me profit of over $24,000 us dollars and ever since then she has never failed to deliver and I can even say she's the most sincere broker I have known
The elevators have mechanical brakes that prevent it from falling if the cables are snapped . The escalator must automatically stop the same way if it detects any foreign body in the internal working
That’s why I’m uncomfortable to go on escalators because I’m afraid that I might get hurt on one or worst get killed by one but my dad wants to go on the escalator and I prefer to do elevators or normal stairs
When I was 7yo, I was trick-or-treating at the mall on Halloween and I went as Jasmine (from Aladdin) so I wore satin slippers. At the top of one of the escalators, my slipper and the edge of my foot got sucked in. After a minute of overly dramatic crying, we freed my foot but the slipper was not so lucky. . . My mom had to wrap a shopping bag around my bloody bare foot so I could finish trick-or-treating 😅. It looked worse than it actually was, but it did tramatize me for a little while after 🤣
I have more tips to survive a malfunstion. 1. Make sure your have a helmet on 2. Make sure you change into a EOD or bomb disposal suit before stepping onto escalator. 3. Make sure you have a rope secured to a hard point at top of escalator 4. Ring up and check before hand on the escalatora age and when it was last serviced and also the name of the service technician and his or her track record, if they are going through divorce or any other strain in life which could cause them to be neglegiant in thier job
