My brother has a friend who was holidaying in Thailand when the Tsunami hit. He slept through the Tsunami due to being very drunk and didn't realise anything was wrong until he heard people shouting in distress and went to his balcony to investigate. He said he couldn't get his head around what he was seeing it was so surreal.

in my country there is a prediction of a tsunami as high as 20 meters on an island. And that island is where I live now. Its name is Java Island, one of the largest of the 5 islands in my country. My city is far from the beach, but I know it will be very bad. and my house is only 3 meters high :(.
When I was a kid, I was pulled under waves multiple times on the same beach trip, and got out safely, but I had nightmares about it that night, and feared tsunamis for a long time after that. I knew the warning signs after researching my fear, but this video is still relieving to me. Now my biggest fear is shadow people/shadow demons. :P

in 2004 me and my family went to thailand , phuket for winter vacation and we ere at the beach as out hotel was on the beach . friends of my mom who we had met were with us she noticed the water had receided alot so she screamed so all the people around us left the beach around 25 and when we enterd the hotel it caused massive panic but we left all of our belongings and went in our car in the parking lot and went fullspeed out of there and they were like 3 car crashes infront cause the local authorities had just announced the tsunami but we got away and went ontop of a huge hill in the area the woody area if phuket. the waves were insane and we saw the entire hotel from a distance engulfed in water and ton of people swallowed by water. on another nearby smaller hill a person was recording instead of climbing the rest of the hill and he didnt anticipate how tall the waves were and got swept waya i dont know if he survived. they were like 10 20 people who had follwed with us to the top of the hill and we were surrounded by water one of the familys but like a shit ton of food and we just waited for 5 6 hours until alot of boats and helicopters came finding people and after like 3 4 days we got a flight back to my home country
In april 2020 I went to Hawaii, Maui for my spring break and there was a tsunami warning... And we turned on the tv and it talked about that it was coming from Asia and I got like really scared. I started praying and calling my mom saying i might die and i love her like over and over But then I heard tsunami warnings are normal and i was like: 😶😳

I feel like every single video like this always includes shots of The Impossible, which is a movie based on the true story of a family who is vacationing in Thailand, when the 2004 tsunami hits. I highly recommend it. It's on Netflix in ths US, and stars Naomi Watts, and Tom Holland. I will warn you that this movie is VERY triggering. It's incredibly hard to watch, and doesn't hold back on blood and gore. Overall, it's both a beautiful and harrowing story of family, hope, and survival.
My country was attacked by 2004 Tsunami. As people were not aware of the Tsunami, many went towards to cleared shore, which a large wave came and swept through the beach and cities.
Whenever I go camping on the beach, at night I wake up to loud waves crashing on shore and I'm like getting my listening ears on for tsunami signs. I get so scared that I won't be able to sleep until the waves go calm.
I got pulled so far out in a rip tide once as a kid that I couldn't tell which direction was the shore or which direction was Catalina island. There were no waves. I was on a surfboard floating. I thought I was going to die and it was going to be miserable and boring and painful with the sun and dehydration. Someone eventually came out for me on one of those jet skiis and did a rescue. I had no knowledge of rip tides or what to do when it took me.
Guys, it IS possible to drive up a tsunami with a speed boat, but ALMOST impossible, only 37 people on the earth has done that, but if you want to you need to go immediately because if it crescents, it’s impossible Peace out
Here's what you should do to save you and your loved ones. 1 make sure that you have enough non-perishable food, water, flashlight, radio, battery pack, medications, also, if there is a flood coming to your area. Please leave as sooner the better, make sure you have enough clean clothes to take with you and your loved ones. 2 find a better locations, the big cities are not the safest place for you. Look up on Google for inactive underground bunkers and caves. This will comes in handy for you and your loved ones to get out of dangerous situations. This what helping people do. Not praying!
When I was little I saw a lot of “end of the world” movies like 2012 and since then I’ve been afraid of going to the beach ;-;. At least I’m not that scared anymore
In short: 1. It’s a tsunami if the sea water recedes into the sea 2. Run at least 3 kilometres away from the sea or to a high building 3. If you can’t do either, grab onto something sturdy and don’t let go until help arrives
