How to Survive Flying India's WORST Airline: Flying SPICEJET 

For anyone visiting India, when Indians tell you not to do something, you should stay as far away from it as possible. I know that Noel was adequately warned about not flying this airline by Indians and he did it nevertheless bcs that's a review he'd never wanna miss, but seriously man, don't fly this airline.😂

One thing I like at your videos is that you are doing the painfull economy and low cost side of Aviation as well. There are much enough guys doing the 1000th Qatar Businessclass video. Stay as you are Noel!

The moment they started charging you at the desk, would be a reason for me to cancel my flight at the spot. And you stayed calm and polite, respect for that!

The bigger concern is, how well does this airline maintain its aircraft from an airworthiness standpoint? If management seemingly can't get its act together with ticketing and cabin cleanliness, what else is it screwing up with? Verdict: unsafe until proven otherwise. "He who is unfaithful in little, is unfaithful in much."

They may be a terrible airline but "lets get high together" is an amazing slogan for an airline

Spicejet was once a very good airline, with better service than other low cost airlines, a decade ago. It did have financial issues, almost was on the verge of closure. It did come back into life, but was not managed properly, thereafter. As of now, Indigo is the winner when it comes to low cost airlines in India, while service still lacks. I would always recommend you full service flights like Air India and Air Vistara. Stay connected Noel!🙌

Can we all just agree that Noel is a great dude for showing us all flights most of us will never actually take for fear of crashing a plane into a lamp post.😅

My corporate clients would fly around India on business. Whenever I offered Spicejet they would almost choke... "Anyone but them." Life insurance on a plane makes sense. We leave from a 'terminal' after all. Another great video Noel.

In fairness the lampost was hit whilst they were being pushed back, I believe. Hardly the fault of the airline.

Noel you missed the normal part of Bangalore.This week has been beyond awesome. Temperature was 19-25C for the whole week.The place you went,Delhi is the real hot part.Actually Bangalore has recorded the lowest temperature for the month of May in the past 22years.Delhi for instance has been hovering between 35-45C.Man you missed the real Bangalore man.You need to come back again next month.

I wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude to willingly board an aircraft after learning one has crashed via backing into a light post...nope. But you did. Love how you take it all in stride and always find the humorous side to whatever situation you may be in. Good times!

Well, Being an Indian and being a pilot myself for Lufthansa. I can tell you with my experience 'When In India use Air India or Indigo'.

Spicejet sucks. A friend of mine who flew with them was lied to, cheated, and then threatened when she dared to raise her voice and complain. I repeat, Spicejet sucks.

Selling life insurance on a flight = best idea ever for the insurance company.

I'll take this route just to add another Indian airport to my list. Under normal circumstances, the probability of traveling to Darbhanga is nil.

Every time I watch you eat some of the foods on these low cost airlines in developing countries I always marvel at your cast iron constitution. You must have a gut next to none. I spent almost 3 years in India and 4 years in Pakistan and I was sick so often that I got used to it. Seems like you never get sick! What an immune system!

Your story reminds me of numerous flights within and to, India. 2019 we were flying from Bangkok to Deli with Air India. A Dreamliner which was already showing 'Indian' airline style maintenance. Within 40 min of the flight, 50% of the entertainment systems were down. The cabin crew were well familiar with this problem and rebooted the system... till it started fizzling out on different seats at random. My companions, who had never been to India were surprised at such a new plane showing such age. I said "Welcome to India." A country which blends state of the art technology with hit & miss maintenance, and customer service sometimes rivalling that which was found in the old Soviet Union. All one can do is laugh (and hope that the plane doesn't crash).

As an Indian, i agree with Noel. I have had bad experiences with Spicejet.

A sparkling example of Indian cattle class (who can now afford air tickets) can be seen at 23:22 when the man puts his briefcase on top of the seat in his mad rush to deboard the plane, while the doors haven't even opened yet. 🤣

I thought the hard sell was bad enough on Ryanair ( scratchoffs , etc) but 10min in the checkin pushing a upgrade is nuts. is the upsell this bad for locals too?

It's many years since I was in India - 1990s - things have changed. Identifying our luggage was a huge thing- it was all piled on to the apron and we had to tell the officials which was ours as we boarded and only then was it was loaded. Back then we all had to identify our bags as we stood outside the plane waiting to get on.

Total bonus! Did not hit a lamp post OR a BUFFALO (2014). Luckily you did not purchase the life insurance, and did not need it either 🙂

I traveled with some friends on SpiceJet 10-15 years ago from Delhi to Goa, we were advised that in the advent of a crash over water we would have to use the seat bottom as a flotation devise. It was an experience.

Atleast Indian airlines don't throw passengers out like i think i heard majority was from American airlines for not wearing proper dress, for not wearing shoes, for baby crying🤣🤣

The attendant at the desk was polite and helpful. Some people might want to upgrade at that time. I've experienced much worse in Europe or in the States.

I had exactly the same issue with united. The website was broken and kept on crashing before the payment screen. And I never had a confirmation on the website. I did not have a confirmation email. I also used the app and no flights were being loaded. A few days later I got charged for 15 tickets for the same flight. And I was flying with them a lot I had gold status at that time I had checked my bank the following day just to check. And no charges shown. But the next day I get contacted by my bank about the issue. I immediately contacted united and explained the issue. And offered to show them screen shots and videos of the website issue. They immediately refused to refund me any money as I can only get a full refund in the first 24 hours. And I continued to try explain no confirmation. No email of a itinerary. No flight loaded to the app. After quite a lot of arguing I managed to get a partial refund. And it turned out to be a known problem so that was disappointing. And I couldn't even book the flight with them because of the website issues. I couldn't get a ticket or a confirmation and then I was being notified the flights I was trying to book were full. I ended up flying with delta and it was actually quite a good flight

Airlines should stop annoying passengers for upgrading seats and also charging extra. Just allot them on booking basis.

I know that people see all this travel as some kind of glamourous life which I get as travel is out of reach for most where I live anyhow. But I would rather have a tooth pulled than deal with most airlines. My anxiety kicks off watching others have to deal with the perpetual bs of airline travel its always a virtual hostage situation

This airline still exists because it’s promoter is a buddy of the PM of India. Half the fleet grounded and several defaulter lawsuits against it. Gosh what a waste of airport space and aircraft’s this crappy airline is.
