Hey Norma, fellow Las Vegan here... I was going to suggest a few interesting hikes for you as my wife and I are avid hikers around LV. There are a few slot canyons down in the Lake Mead recreational area that are quite amazing, and the Bristle Cone Pine trail up at Charleston is interesting because it has the oldest tree (in the world?) along it. That trail goes from 8500 to 9600 feet so it is quite a workout. A little side story, when we first moved to Vegas in 2018 we bumped into Suzanne Somers at the DMV... she overheard that we just moved here and she offered this advice, she said "You won't really know Vegas until you've worn out your first pair of hiking shoes"... and she was right! The slot canyons are White Owl Canyon, and Anniversary Narrows... I'd recommend you do the latter with someone who has a 4x4 or jeep, as it is mile and a half off-road to get to the entrance to the canyon. But I'd love to see a "Norma-Goes-Hiking" video series...

My wife and I were in Las Vegas a week or so ago and I’ve never known it so hot. It was 110-112 degrees. We are from the UK and it was 50 degrees when we landed back home 😂

Regarding the High Roller vs Happy Half Hour High Roller, if you're interested in drinking, it's completely worth it! You only need $40 worth of drinks for it to be worth it, not the $70, because the high roller itself costs $25-35 (depending on day/night/deals.) Therefore, 3 drinks and you're in the green...and stumbling and bumbling, ha! Such a fun experience!

Hi Norma here in Santa Rosa, California where I’m from…. Oh my gosh about two weeks ago it hit over 100 degree so hot! I went out to the mall to kept me cool! And I also heard about that show my sister and her’s husband went and watch and they said it was so awesome! Show thank you. Norma ❤

Great Video!!! Norma have ever considered doing a video on visitors from out of town, during the weekday, I fly in from Phoenix on Monday-Thursday package deal on Priceline/Expedia, Airline Tickets are $.35 cents, "Yes 35 cents each way" plus taxes which is about $17 dollars, stay at Linq/Flamingo/Harrah's for a total of 220-250 per person package deal, you get better deals during week plus less crowds!!!! Have not checked out flights from LA/San Francisco/San Diego/Denver/Salt Lake City, but I am sure you would probably get same airline fee of cheap cheap, must be a kick back from Hotels?

I used to walk 5-7 miles every day in Las Vegas even in the summer when it was 115 degrees. Just drink plenty of water.

I usually walk the whole strip during my Vegas visits. But I just got back yesterday from being there for a week and I couldn’t. I barely wanted to walk from mgm grand to nyny or Excalibur. The heat was brutal. Was there for the 120 degree weather. Absolutely crazy Edit: I’m from Texas and we have crazy heat but this Vegas heat was DIFFERENT

9:43 i’ve never been in humid heat but it’s so dry here you could feel the sun rays piercing through your skin like a little needles if you aren’t moisturizing your skin, death Valley is literally the hottest place on earth, we live a few miles from it and it’s in the United States of America

Great idea on doing video to keep cool. Just came back from hottest week in Vegas. Tried looking for you on your Wednesday live stream, but of course that is the only Wednesday you streamed from downtown!! You tricked me!!lol Recommendation: next time fireworks occur, watch them from top of Rio at Voodoo Lounge. You can all the fireworks in the valley

Great ideas for keeping cool during these hot summer months. Usually stay out of Las Vegas during this time of year but have been there when it was 120 degrees. We just stay indoors. We usually stay at Flamingo so on super hot days we stick to the east side of the Strip as the hotel/casino entrances are close by so you won't be outside too long or stick to Bellagio thru Park MGM with the trams.

Yeah I was just there the heat is brutal but staying indoors and drinking HELLA water at the start of the day really helped. In fact it was cold in doors for me from going to extreme temps outside to the cool inside. The night time wasn’t so bad though. Then again I’m from Cali and currently experiencing brutal heat, too. If nothing else, be careful of sugar, dairy and booze intake (especially during the day) and drink LOTS of water and you’ll be fine 👍🏾👌🏾

Thank you for the tips about the disc golf park. I would love to try it one day. What's really funny is that a lot of these places on the strip require a hike to get to. Even getting to the shark reef is a long walk, but at least it's indoors! I saw O. I sat up high and loved the view! Cool seeing the scuba divers hiding in the water.

I was in the TSA here in Vegas for over five years. During that time, I was one of the admin guys and often went from terminal to terminal with paperwork. However, when I went by arrivals in the winter it was hilarious for me to see people in tank tops, flip flops, and shorts in January! They were freezing! So many people believe it’s always one hundred degrees here. I grew up just North of Boston so I know what REAL winter is like, but as you know, it can get quite chilly here, then you add in the wind and, OMG, I’m cold! Lol.

I was there from July 11th-15th and damn it was hot!!! Stayed at the Flamingo and LOVED having the Linq promenade right next door!! I had zero issues getting glasses of water almost everywhere! We zigzagged through lots of casinos!!

The disc golf community is great community and usually if you ask they will give you a run down of the sport when you’re a beginner and if you’re lucky they will be someone like my husband that will just give you free lessons. It’s a great sport and a lot of fun. Just so you know you want to make inside the basket not on top 😁can’t wait to show him this course. We play at wild horse golf club when we visit.

I spent 4 days over the 4th of July holidays on Fremont (The Grand). Tried a couple of your recommendations. Pizza Rock 👍 Three Georges was, disappointing though 🤥 The BIGEST thing is to stay hydrated. Not only water, but electrolytes (salt). One of the best tips I ever got for surviving a hot dry area is to drink some Tonic Water (not gin though). BEFORE you start showing signs of deydration.The nice thing about Fremont street was it's covered! Also, all the casinos have AC. The mountains were awesome! as was Chinatown. Didn't venture to the Strip, this time. I guess the "Dry Heat" makes a difference. Bottom line, I had a GREAT time! Thanks for the video guides Norma! I'm a big fan of BOTH your channels!

Norma, I LOVE your channel! I was in LV last from July 1-4, and I KNOW it's gotten hotter since then. I'm from Houston, and I got back in town right before Hurricane Beryl hit. 98 degrees may SEEM cooler by comparison, but add 99% humidity and the lack of AC, and in truth darlin'...? We're DYING down here!!! We're living in a hot ass SWAMP with no electricity. That means no AC, no fans, no ice, no refrigerated food. 3+ million people with NOTHING. It's easing some as of tonight - down to just under a million people now, but NO help from FEMA or the Biden Administration. NO ONE SHOWED!!
