Pro tip: Be cautious of entering a vehicle with an interior like an RV for the first time. While not often, like any other building zombies CAN spawn into them. Especially if you found your new mobile home in a high-population area like West point. Just be ready for a close-quarter fight in the dark when first entering one, afterward it should stay clear.
If you set up a hotkey to enter/leave your vehicle interior (requires Mod Options mod as well as the RV Interior mod), you can effectively "door flash" when you enter a new vehicle interior by going in and then straight out again.
I came in with less than two brain cells, after watching the video my brain is thicc with knowledge. Thanks Seb for the knowledge there was some really good tips I didn’t even know about!
You can also door flash (press e, see if there are zombies, and press e again to close the door. This should be really quick, about a fraction of a second) to see if there are zombies in a room. Make sure to hold right click to be prepared to fight just in case a zombie gets out, but I recommend that new players fight zombies outside, especially if there is more than 2 or 3.
My tip: Pick a weapon type and stick with it. All weapons have their pros and cons, however all weapons are more effective the higher your level with it is. As such, be sure to pick which weapon type you want to use and do your best to exclusively use it. Personally, I like to use long blunt weapons because the crowbar is pretty common. (you can even find it stabbed inside zomboids) If you want, feel free to limit to two instead of one, it may help in a pinch to know how to use two different types of weapons instead of just one.
Incredible series. I've rewatched it numerous times and sent it to friends to learn from. I've seen many PZ videos but i feel like i learned the most from this series youve made. Thank you
I started playing last week and have been doing terrible. I watched this video and it's really helped! My longest run now has been a week. If I hadnt saw this video, I wouldnt of gotten in attack mode everytime I opened a door and had died already. Thanks for saving my run!
downloading it now it looks crazy complex and at the same time simple but i am guessing you have thousands of hours haha great video lots of info i would have completely missed without you knowledge
Yeah I started that way for a couple days, I now travel from Rosewood, to March Ridge, all the way to Muldragh (those two for the VHS stores) then make my way to West Point for the gun store, last but not least hit the Military checkpoint in front of Louisville (haven’t had the guts to go in there yet) but hopefully one day 😂
One thing I enjoy changing is my xp modifier to 2.5x The grind can become very tedious and if you fine yourself with not much gaming time then it really helps. I can usually never get a skill past the halfway mark even at that modifier before dieng 😅 Also if your playing a SP game then a good negative trait to pick if you need to then grab slow learner. You read slower but when you can speed up time its not a big deal.
This was absolutely delightful to watch 🐸✨ Btw you mentioned you like to collect all the pen(cil) colors... did you know that in project zomboid if you find crayons you'll have all the colors for the map? You can usually find them on office desks. They'll weigh the same as carrying all the pens and pencil but it'll be less items cluttering up your inventory.
Ok, firstly, when you said "did you know" I read the rest of your message in Nurse's voice 😂 and secondly WHAT??!!!! I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS A THING OMG I HAVE TO TRY THIS OUT 😍😍😍
It's worth noting that different shoes have different speed multipliers You can run the fastest in sneakers, slowest in boots, and somewhere between the two for regular shoes Its not a noticeable difference, from my personal experience, and unless you are playing a sprinter zombie world you shouldn't need that extra enhancement. And on the topic of dirt and wounds, im pretty sure that if you have bloody clothing you are at a much higher risk for getting infected (zombie one) if you get a wound
Seb, returning to YT after months of inactivity due to work and health problems and seeing you grow this much (not only in subs but content quality) makes me very proud of you. I'm very happy you finally found your style, and let me tell you this, it's absolutely amazing and hilarious. Best wishes Seb-shounen, ganbatte kudasai! Go beyond, Plus Ultra!
For some reason I started closing all curtains that are in houses I’ve visited. Keeps me from double tapping when I eventually get chaises off by hordes.
Got an issue wirh resteless the sleeper trait doint pick it because your it decresses yout staminia over time because when you sleep you regen your stminia and it causes you to sleep less this feeds into a infinit stamina loop thats unavodiable that makes you drasticly worse at combst and other activitys its a huge nerf and wakeful is kinda wasted considering he didn't try to mid max because thats the only way i see this justified as there a a dozen other better negitive traits that arent as bad like clostraphobic underwate underwate smoker, think skin , weak stomach
I cant survive for a single day i run into one zombie then while trying to get away like 40 more join in cant ever seem to get away so i just get chased down till i die
Try ditching them in a house you previously looted, like run through the front door (shut it behind you) and immediately run out the back, try to avoid fighting any zombies you run into while you’re making your exit, the noise will just draw them to you again
Sebbediah, not entirely true, the Restless sleeper just make ur qualirty of sleep worse. So i woldnt take that with wakefull....... Bad combi Less sleep and quality of sleep is worse then default. I would recommend you not to take Restless sleeper with Wakefull.... You CAN end up in an evil circel of exhaustion and fatigue
compare to CDDA this game sucks :( i mean they earned millions dollars by selling PZ and you still can't jump over table, you can't make zombies jump in pool?? :(
14:38 medical stuff wipes, bandages dont bother infected wounds doesnt make it so it heals slower, its to a point you dont even need to replace a dirty bandage ever till it heals and you can just rip a sock for ripped sheets its the same thing
If you find crayons, you automatically have access to all map color options. Something I learned like 2 months ago and felt dumb for not thinking about
Thank you for the video. Owned Project Zomboid for more than a decade but never played it. Really nice to see a video that actually teaches newbies the basics.
When filing taxes in Project Zomboid, always make sure to include any zombie-busting equipment purchases in your write-offs. You'll need to manually drop off the forms, since the postal service isn't working due to the outbreak. The IRS building isn't easy to get into, there are many hordes of zombies guarding it, but at least you'll sleep easy at night knowing that Uncle Sam has been paid what's due.
Restless sleeper is a no go. Even with wakeful it really screws you over since you don't really gain any rest beyond hiding the sleepy moodle. But as soon as you get out of bed it appears again. So thd only way for you to operate without this - 50% melee damage debuff is to consume copious amounts of coffee.
It's even worse than that, fatigue and stamina play into each other. Basically the more tired you are the worse your stamina regen is, which leads to you being exhausted and exhaustion builds tiredness.
Whenever going to the bathroom in Project Zomboid, always make sure to pack additional toilet paper in case your character receives the random 'got the runs' debuff. 2-ply is way better than single ply, and 2-ply can be crafted from combing two single ply sheets with some zombie mucus. Pine cones can also be used, however your character runs the risk of self-injury (unless you're playing as the lumberjack.)
9:54 your starting house will never have zeds even if you spawn in the police station of rosewood, congrats you got the station fully cleared for free (doesnt go for the outsidetho)
@@listopad09nope I when I first started playing I didn’t have a single mod yet, I remember specifically hearing the groans super loud and thinking “damn sounds like there’s one in the next room” and low and behold, like 4 of them in party hats 🥳 came around the corner for some extra cake 🎂 😂🪦
Cool narration and sweet editing, mate... ❤🔥 18:09 -- Always swap your "default" plastic water bottle for a bourbon bottle. (Plastic bottle icons are horizontal / face sideways ... bourbon bottles are small and 'stand' vertically). Bourbon bottles hold 2 more units of water but weigh less (.7 unequipped vs .8 of the plastic ones). Makes a difference on long pain trudges! Cheers.
worth mentioning is that you dont 'need' a can opener to open cans. not only have some cans (cant remember which ones) a latch and can just be opened; the screwdriver can also open cans. also, see if you can get your hands on some crayons. a little pack of crayons counts as black, red and blue pen. you can ditch all your pens at that point
Bruh all of these tips are worthless (to me atleast) like everything in this video is common knowledge the very first time I've played this game I did the same things as you suggest out of pure instinct, becouse its just that obvious. If any of you are new to the game dont watch these guides, theyre a waste of fun and time.
Riverside is my go to place. It has the smallest zombie count, although the resources available are quite limited. But if you are familiar with the place, you will have no problem finding an antique oven and a generator. You may not be able to find all the books and VHS. But it is ok as long as you don't get killed by Zombies. LOL
