How To Swaddle A Newborn Baby Using A Double Swaddle 

Thank you so much for this video. My newborn daughter hates the swaddle! I know lots of parents say this, but literally they keep her awake bc she won’t stop fighting them. My first daughter hated them too, but not to this extreme. I have tried all “easy” swaddle solutions and some of the most expensive ones too. I still have to resort back to doing it myself with a muslin blanket. I had to wrap her up in a very unique and specific way in order for her to not fight it for too long, which would allow her to actually enjoy her sleep. Even that didn’t work out all the time, bc if it wasn’t on tight enough and she had the slightest bit of slack, she would just keep fighting it and I would need to re-swaddle her. I have used this method you show here twice so far and I feel it has helped tremendously! She doesn’t seem to care to fight it too much and she feels very cozy. At first I thought, “who is going to sit there swaddling twice in one sitting with a baby screaming at the top of its lungs?” I’m so happy I didn’t listen to that doubtful thought. Thanks again!

I have swaddled all of my children. I started with my son 21 yrs ago, after being taught the technique by a NICU nurse, long before swaddle blankets were popular. Back then they just used receiving blankets. I'm pregnant with baby #5 now and will try this swaddle when baby arrives in the next week or so :)
