What do I do when the engine i made stays stuck in 4th gear and refuses to shift . Then it randomly switches gear . It's not a smooth transition

I can't seem to get the gearing right ,gearing isn't maxing out on straights,,,,crate car has a lower top speed than the uncrated car,,,,how do you fix this in the engine making process?

Thanks a lot! The video was easy to follow and cut straight to the point. However i have a problem when trying to play AC with the swapped engine. When i launch the Content Manager, the name of the car and my engine does appear, but there are no actual changes to the engine and everything stays the same. I've tried restarting my pc but now it's worse, i get an error report saying AC crashed and there may be a problem with the car's sound. Any help?
