@@_Yojo_ I'm trying to get it out. So many problems keep happening while making it I've had to remake probably bout 6 times, I'll try to get it out soon!
I used to teach kids coding through making games with Scratch. It's fun to learn but there are limitations if you want to keep growing. It's cool seeing you on your own game dev journey and sharing what you are learning with others! Subscribed 👍
I always wanted to try out unity but didn’t even know how to start, you just gave a 10/10 explanation of all the basics and how to get started. Thank you so much, this vid is great :D
bro explained in scratch terms (great video, i feel like someone had to explain it this way because learning unity can be extemely difficult for beginners (like me))
thanks a lot man, this helped a lot because I wanted to keep making games but scratch was being icky so i wanted to switch to unity, and it looked intimidating, but this helped a lot, thanks again.
Glad it helped :). If you end up not wanting to use Unity because recent events then I highly recommend checking the Flax Engine out. Kinda like a Unity and Unreal Engine hybrid. And you can use c#, c++, or visual scripting. Personally enjoy it more then Unity.
i wish this video was uploaded when i just started unity after doing some scratch. this is a great comparison video and covers the fundamental things in scratch and unity. i do wish that you explained how to convert more scratch blocks into unity code (ex. (go to x y) would be transform.position =...) and i also think briefly explaing just what the namespaces at the top meant and what you could do with them would be good. names space are similar to scratch extensions kinda in my opinion. maybe also explain what a class is bc thats never heard of in scratch. i always thought each class is the beginning of a new chain of blocks. these were just a few things that really confused me when i switched.
Thank you for doing a heros work. I realised im pretty good in scratch but realised how much it limits me and i really struggle to make anything thats complicated over a Rng or autoclicker game. Would you also like to hear about my Gmail addiction?
@@thekrazydev If its possible, you could remake a scratch game in unity, since it would give a side by side example of the different types of scripts and there correlation.
turbowarp runs nearly as fast as unity games, I should mention. Though: Unity is 100% better than TurboWarp and Scratch, but I see Scratch/Turbowarp as more of a challenge, to see what's possible in the bounds of Scratch.
@@qwerty_qwerty Here's a link to a video that might help - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aorB7hzIOKM.html . Worst case scenario try using visual studio. It is bigger in download size but much easier to setup.
So to modify the x position you would access our transform component which contains stuff like position, rotation, scale. Then you would wanna set it to the Vector2 you want for your position. Example: //We access the position attribute using "." transform.position = new Vector2(100, 0); //To do change x we do -> transform.position += new Vector2(25, 0); (The += operation adds the value with the other one)
I don't think you have to have an account. Still there is a game engine which is still really good called godot (its as good as unity if not better, and its easierto learn). Or you could use unity visual scripting.
Yes! You only have to start paying once you make 100k$. I also recommend Godot. It's a really good engine, and it's alot easier than Unity but near as powerful. And the language is alot easier then c#. I'm hoping to make a video on it soon
