Once you do the first initial program and the ceiling fan light blinks you have to turn the main switch off and on again. I was frustrated with trying multiple times doing the first step. Finally i tried the way it was done on the video and did the final on off with the main switch and it worked perfectly.
I have the same fan and same remote. It didnt work for me. Im out of ideas. Does your remote fast blink when you reset the switch on the wall? Maybe my battery is just going dead?
If the light is on then that means two things: it’s either paired to a different remote. Or it’s ready to be paired so you have to hold the “set” button on the back of the remote. If your fan is a later model then I’m not sure if that would work. If that doesn’t work, then try looking at other videos.
@@kaysonthefancollector8826saw you mess with a remote. I tried exactly what I saw you do, but as I assumed, nothing worked. Talking in a video like this is exactly how you fully help us understand what’s going on, and furthermore, avoid questions and comments like this… 🤔 Ah.. I get it… after thinking about this video and how absolutely nothing made sense, this is exactly what you wanted. Lol. I guess this comment is helping you out. Now, help us out, and tell us exactly what the heck you just did.
@@brandonsouth Ok fine. Here's what I KNOW: This fan is a 2013 model. So your fan possibly doesn't have the same remote. Some fans are different. All I did was turn the power off, turned it back on. Then I held the "set" button. That is what pairs the fan. (As you LITERALLY saw, the fan paired to my remote) That is actually the ONLY thing you do to pair your fan as far as I know. I'm not that good with Fanimation. So I hardly know their other remotes and designs. If you have a newer Fanimation remote, then I don't know what to tell ya. I'm not familiar with those remotes so I don't know how to work them.
