Tks Daniela to share with us, you have a lot of experience. I would like to see tips about "how to improve your downwind?", "how to gybe faster" and finally, "How can I adjust my lines to the correct setup?". tks insta @renatokite
@@thelifeofdanielaa I am writing articles about kitefoil to the web site gokite.com.br in Brazil and my last article I wrote about How To Gybe www.gokite.com.br/noticias/como-executar-o-gybe-no-hydrofoil/ . My next article will be about Tacks and I will reference your video as a class. Tks.
How to turn in super light conditions? You feel your speed going down, and you know.. as soon as you stop or turn your kite will fall to the water (or even more exciting when its a SURPRISE!) Would a tack possibly save you? Or in your opinon a downloop gybe is better option? I think i tried a downloop gybe and ended up swimming...
Hi Daniela, nice video! One question, for my friend! 😅 He is using 32m lines on his 18m kite, what do you thing, is it possible to do a foilinf tack? Thx regards
I'm riding kanaha shapes 37" strapless board and LEI Duotone NEO but these tips are still appropriate. Flattening the board and thinking about sitting on that chair OVER the board are key takeaways.
Thank you so much, Daniela! I am seeing your video several times to understand more and more about how to do the tack. It is so difficult. But I am close to starting to manage it. With very best regards, Roland from Switzerland
Great stuff Daniela! very helpful ! hey would it be possible for you to tell us your experience on race gear maintenance and pre-race preparation? Thanks in advance !
Ahoj, tady Tomáš! This video showed ud as a recommendation, what a coincidence. I will attempt to learn this again. Včera bylo moc dobře na Sherman, tvoje mamka a já jsme si dobře zaserfovali, asi jeden z nejlepších dnů.
Cool! I have the tack but I always touch down for a moment! I'm using LEI though with a waist harness and always end up looping the kite coming out of the tack. Waiting for a foil kite delivery at the moment. Might get a seat harness as well and see if I can get my air tacks sorted... Thanks for the vid.
Hi Daniela this is a great video! I have an idea for another one: teach us all the tips and tricks you have for flying foil kites. How can regular foilers learn to use our own foil kites a little better or more efficiently using all the knowledge you have from racing? There is literally not a video or an article on the entire internet about how to get more out of your foil kite after you buy it. Thank you!
I mention a couple tips for that in my “5 Tips to Nail Your Tack” video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-71X3Hh3jI-E.html hope that’s helpful!
Good video Daniela, please make other ones about every aspect of the racing ;). Do you accelerate kite after 12 and do you push the board forward just before feet switch in light wind? How to improve the speed of tacks? We wanna know all advanced tricks/tips/secrets ;). Thx
Thanks for watching! I have a part 2 video for tacking coming soon where I will talk about this in depth, but the kite is moving pretty consistently through the wind window, and if it's light I do sometimes push my board to give myself extra lift. I have a lot more tips coming soon!!!
Hi Daniella!Thank you very much for making those videos! Love them! Question, I am a heavy and tall guy 98 kg and 192 cm, so I need to maintain always fast speed, any tip on how not to slow down? What is the optimal lines length?
Here's my video on how to go fast where I include some tips for keeping your speed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wr7a5HV5Bg8.html I am using 12m lines for most of my kites, but it really depends on your kite set up. I have a line length tech talk video coming soon. Thanks for watching!
Thx for this video , very clear and nice video. Great comment on the light and strong conditions differences. looking forward to trying your way. As for me I would be interested on jibe + also position, feeling, tips to increase speed and control. Although it is difficult to know if the foil is well balanced or not , as an example what about foot pressure, should you be very well balanced between leg ? What do you recommend ? Thanks a lot
Thanks for posting. I’m in the process of learning my tacks so this is timely. You met my wife at a coffee shop last week (girl on a bike) and she let me know about your videos. Thanks! (Also, I’m curious what drone you are using for the tack shots? Video looks great.
Super-nice advice! I'm always looking out for safety; are there any particular does or don'ts to keep in mind to not fall badly (i.e. not falling onto the wings or mast or in-front of the board)?
I have a foil safety video in the works where I will discuss things like that in depth, but the biggest tip is to never look for your board right away after wiping out and always keep body dragging farther than you think you have to go to keep clear of the board!
Much of it is quite similar; however you have to rely more on your kite for lift and keep your hips over the board during the entire carve so both of your feet stay on top of the board and underneath you!
Thank you so much! I’m just getting started tacking with race gear, and am feeling like a newbie all over again. Come back to Hawaii soon and school us old guys 🤙🏼
