Hi Guys and welcome back!
In this video I show you how I tack up my dressage horse sonny! Obviously everyone is different and might do it a different way, but this is just the way I do it. I don't think there is a right or wrong way as long as you are safe and all the tack fits correctly!

Love it as always ! And I also prefer to pick feet out onto the floor because I find with a bucket sometimes the mud/surface/whatever's in your horses feet sometimes doesnt even go in the bucket so you end up having to sweep anyway 😅 unless I have to pick feet out in stables, then I use a bucket to catch most of it. Xx

For an upcoming vid you should defiantly do all your hats, boots etc or all you saddles, bridles, head collars etc! Hope this is a good idea for you Erin, enjoy 😊

You should be able to fit two stacked fingers in between the cavesson noseband and the nose (nasal planum). The flash noseband shouldn’t be too tight either. It’s important the horse is able to chew and release tensions. I recommend you do some research on it to learn more. I hope I’m not offending you with this comment, I just want the best for you and your horse :-)

I don't, unless there is straw or other mess in it, I only do it maybe two or three times a week, and I like to just use a dandy brush, unless there are major tangles and then I ALWAYS use a conditioner so you don't break too many hairs...

I like everything about this video, but there is one thing i don't like, when people are not careful with tail while brushing and not brushing from bottom-up. Just because we had girls in our stable that pulled all the tail out to most of the horses, and we all know how long it takes to grow it back. :(

@@theerinwilliams Sorry the tail thing did bother me a bit. But the curry actually has science behind it. Each and every day you should curry your horse, or a least before and after every ride. It helps muscles and allows you to check for bumbs or scrapes more thoroughly. It also has a deeper simulation in the brain as a horse grooming a horse which will help your horse to enjoy it more. Sunny pawing can likely be helped by a good curry.

Sydney Langley sonny paws for treats. I take care of my horse incredibly well and he does get curry combed but not every day. We all care for our horses differently and that’s fine, you are entitled to your opinion but it’s unnecessary to force it on me.

I am not in any way saying your way is wrong I just think that we can all learn from each other. What bedding is used in your stalls? They are grey? Or are they empty 🙊

Marwa Fahiz They just have rubber padded mats in them instead of bedding and some have a mix of shavings and straw from the small bit I can see in this vid. I’m pretty sure her horses aren’t in a standing stall for long periods of time because they are mostly on turnout.
