becouse of this dude i learned 180 and barspin, i just wanna say thanks man, now i need to learn flat 360 (without tap :) ) and tailwhip. you are great :D
@TheSourPenguin I have a Linear slick cable that doesn't pull on the brake when it gets tangled and i do barspins fine, if you have just a standard brake cable try turning your bars the opposite way to your tailwhip before you ride and then when you tailwhip your cable will be back to normal cos the tailwhip you just did untanggled it.
@nkCarrion when you hop whip the second you bunnyhop kick the bike and make a fast but small circle with your arms. If you need to the second you kick it pretend you frame will land at 270 and try to hop onto it.
I find kicking with my front foot forward only about 25 times more harder....but different strokes for different folks. But good tips, and remember to just go for it
@SpindleBmx no it depends what side u grind on, cuz im left foot forward and grind left side, so i have my srocket on the right side, but if you dont grind then it dosent matter what side its on really
I learned whips in a day n I've only been riding for 3 months :D Then I broke my collar bone n can't ride for a month. :( Really great video by the way. :D Keep on shred'n!!!
how necessary do you think it is to learn whips out of smaller and smaller things before hop whips? I can do them out of 4ft mellowish banks, but I cant find my front foot on hop whips, the bike seems to side travel a little more too
I finally learned how to tailwhip .... I didnt land them for 2 reasons 1st problem.... Arms were to far away, you "MUST" keep the bike low as possible i tend to get it more often when i keep it under my belly button. 2nd problem..... I aimed for petals ..... In the beginning "DO NOT" aim for petals aim for cranks to avoid your feet from like exploding off the petals an rolling your ankle ...(i did that aiming for petals) .......aim for crank majority of the time u will land on those anyway a
@AdamLZHowtos also you guys because of adam lz i can hop tailwhip flat took me 3 days while halfassing them. I'm only 13 and have been bmzing for only 5 months. This trick is hard, but the second you been hop you kick it and then suck up your legs, finally you make a small circle with your arms. Then you land it!

omg ik i can kick and whip but at wat point when u are airing out the bowl do u kick??????? is it when ur back wheel first comes out or when ur front wheel comes out or when u are all the way in the air and level????!!!!!??????
Hey, please respond. It SEEMS like this is kind of an easy trick for me to learn. But i havn't even got over the bike yet. It is really easy for me to get it around but my bike keeps coming out from underneath me. Again i am not bragging, i am just trying to learn these. Also does it take a-lot of determnation to learn these? Like do you need to work on these every day for a year or do you just have to hit up th park a couple weekends to learn em'. I keep watching this but i just need to try it.
so when you first started trying to tail-whip, did you just go for it and eventually get it? and did you wreck a lot? haha I want to learn tailwhip and bar spin but as soon as I get in the air i chicken out. But there is no one where i bike that is better than me to learn from, or to push me further. Hope for a response.
@mkgxcommanderx do them alot. It took me 7 moths to land my first one. And once ur able to get over the bike wear ankle guards on ur front ft. I didn't and a day after i landed my first one I broke my ankle cuz i didnt wear guards. The vids on my utube page.
i tried it for the first time yesterday and got one foot back on. but after that i started kicking with both feet and cant get it back around quick enough.
i learned mine flat first :3 but its true flyout whips are so much easier to catch but i get a faster whip flat or off somthing... i would suggest learning them into a grass bank because it helps you commit more.. and shin gaurds and knee pads make you fearless.. ummm and gel soles for you shoes cause i tend to get a heel bruise from catching sprocket on bigger whips.. umm.. ya :)
i can get the rotation of the whip but my bike get to mutch in front of me and land on back wheel alot and when i try and push my hands down i do a dead sailer :( any tips?
Hey I'm sort of new to bmx riding is the fit fuse bike any good for learning tricks cause I have one but don't know and also how the hell do your peeled stay balanced when u actually do the whip I have not tried it but I know that the peeled will just spins and I'll break my shins cause I'm really bony please help me
@Qu1ckDrawN1nja Incase he doesnt reply I'll give you a few tips :) All there is to it is commiting, find a rail at a good height, ride up at a speed you are comfortable with then hop to double peg, just make sure you get both pegs on, it sucks catching the top of the peg on the way up, but also dont over compensate and go over the rail, that sucks more! balance it then hop out. If you aren't grinding as long as you'd like, lean over the rail slightly more, this should help keep you on
hey adam, i have been riding for 4 months i can 540 and all this stuff but i cant bar or tailwhip, but idunno what it is, i do the same thing as u with putting ur knees near the bars or w/e but with the tailwhips, how do u land on ur cranks, it seems so hard for me :'(
ok the first day i started tailwhips wich was like 2 weeks ago after two tries i could get the bike all the way around and get back on it but i cant catch the pedals its so frustrating i dont have a flyout at my house only at sk8 parks and i dont go all the time does anyone have any tips on how to catch the pedals???
@AdamLZHowtos Hey, fanboy here. :D Im just wondering if its worth it to start learning tailwhips with 13,6 kg heavy bike, or buy new one with 11,8kg... You are more experienced and i dont know who to ask cause im just starting to ride bmx after 3 years (bought the bike i have when i was 13)... I have just starting learning hop whips first so this video probably saved me the whole life of trying it and saved my shins aswell :D sorry for the longest story ever
i can do the whip and everything, but i never bring my food over, like idk why i always get the rotation but i only have like a .001 second window to move my leg over the frame....

I kick the bike with my front foot and am confused on what foot to catch the tailwhip with???I can get the bike under me but cant catch the pedals because i don't know what foot to put on first?
