You don't have to queue before the gate opens 40 minutes before, but you will have to enter the gate 20 minutes before the departure time as the gate will close.

Because I was trying to by a ticket, online, from Woodlands to JBS three months before the departure date and they already run out of it, I’m still planning to go by train and do you think it’s possible for me to buy the ticket on the spot, at the train station on the day of the departure?
the shuttle train tickets are very popular, and can be sold out very fast during peak periods. Once the ticket is sold out online it wont be available onsite. And its quite impossible to buy it on the spot at the train station.

Hi, you don't have to print the ticket. The ticket verification is via the passport number. No registration is needed as well, the system will auto record your passport number when buying of ticket.
Hi, although they didn’t check at the train immigration, but we still recommend you to download and register the MySejahtera app. As for Proof of vaccination we brought soft copy of it just incase some hotels do still check for vaccinations.
Hi, MDAC is only needed if you are passing through egate if you have registered before. You won't be able to use the egate at the train immigration. Therefore, there is no need to fill in the MDAC.

Hi Sharina, we are unsure on the parking fees, but you can park your vehicle at Komtar building and walk over to the station. Upon reaching woodlands you can download grab or gojek, price range depends on time and distance. Trace together is not required at the moment.

Hi, didn't realized my reply wasn't uploaded through, the location of the train station on Singapore side is right beside woodlands road same location as woodlands land checkpoint. The station's bus stop (Woodlands train checkpoint, number: 46069) can be access from woodlands interchange via bus 911 which is about 6 stops (13mins). Tourist are able to travel via train just need your passport info during booking of train tickets.
Hi, for ETS gemas to KL, there is a luggage rack at every carriage. But for KTM from johor bahru to gemas, we don't see any luggage rack there. what we can suggest is try book the first row of seats, which has a wider leg space so you can put your luggage in front of you.
Hi, technically its still recommended by their authorities , but they do not check it at customs or at the malls, hotels usually only ask for vaccinations certificate or vaccinations date.

Hi, yes for travellers taking the train, there is a dedicated checkpoint (at the train station) on both sides of the borders, independent of the ones uses for buses. When going towards the direction of Malaysia, both Singapore and Malaysia immigration are on singapore side while, on the returning trip to singapore, immigration is on both Malaysia and Singapore sides.
Hi, if you are crossing from SG to JB, both immigration is on the singapore side. JB to SG, the immigration for Malaysia is before you board the train, and Singapore immigration is after the train in singapore.

@@fan.80s_90s Hi, we think traveling by train is the most convenient as it has it own customs hall, it allows you to avoid the main customs hall queue during peak hours which you might encounter when taking the bus.
Hi, thanks for liking our video. The train staff only scan our passport with their phone when entering, guess that they really did link the tickets to the passport number. No checking of digital tickets was done, but you can just download a soft copy just incase.

Hi, you may want to check on the visa requirements on entering Singapore via ICA website, if via coming in via air, you will need to fill in the SG arrival card 3 days from arrival. Do also bring your vaccination certificate for verification just incase.
Hi sorry for the late reply, yes the immigration is separated from the main land immigration. Both immigrations are on Singapore side when crossing Singapore to JB.

Hi, there is not much queue for the immigration as its isolated from the main immigration hall, the number of people in the queue are those who are boarding the train within that time slot as well. We arrived roughly 45min before the stipulated departure time.

Hi, its highly recommended to get it through the KTMB website, although you can get it onsite at the office, the tickets during peak periods sells out fast and might not be available at the ticket office.

Yes, both SG and MY immigrations are on singapore side just right after the boarding gate, the immigration counters for departure by train is different from the regular checkpoint crossing.
Hi, for the singapore side its right next to woodland checkpoint (customs), called woodlands train checkpoint, for the Johor Bahru side is also located right next to the checkpoint and named JB Sentral train station.
Hi, yes you would need to get a return trip ticket, you can either get it from the KTMB office located at JB Sentral just right outside the station exit, or you can get it from the KTMB website under shuttle tebrau. Hi, for a guaranteed tickets its best to book online, but if its for last min, they sometimes do have extra tickets available at the office for off peak travel times.

Hi, Pros of train to MY is that the customs will be bypass, as their have a dedicated customs counters, cons is tickets are harder to get. Pros of bus, tickets are unlimited and runs 24hrs. Cons of bus, customs hall can be very crowded. We did afew buses from Singapore to Malaysia video in our channel, do check out our other videos. 😁

Hi, The train station is located right beside Woodlands checkpoint, you will walk pass it before immigration. You may take a bus from woodland mrt to the train station/ Woodlands checkpoint. There is not restrictions on tourist buying train tickets to cross the border.
