How to maintain and grease a homemade elliptical. Remove elliptical bike noises.
Today we are going to do basic and routine maintenance on this homemade elliptical bike.
It is a job that must be carried out periodically to extend the life of this machine.
If not, it will start to make annoying noises and will not work smoothly.
How often do you have to do it? Well, it depends on its use and its location, that is, if the machine is indoors or outdoors.
If we use it continuously and we have it outdoors, maybe we should do it every two - three weeks. If it is the opposite, every two - three months should be enough.
We only need to grease and tighten certain screws.
To grease well, we must loosen the nuts in all the places where the movement play is made.
Add the fat helping us with a toothpick or similar and making sure that it reaches its place.
Then retighten the nuts.
The next step is to tighten the screws where two pieces are joined, these tend to loosen with use.
Finally we use it a little so that the fat is distributed well.
And ready!
As we have mentioned previously, it is a periodic and basic maintenance.
But at least every year or two, depending on its use, we should do a more thorough maintenance.
