@@omiaht i chopped it off lmao, i’m never gonna bleach my hair…ever. anyways i’m rocking short hair rn. if u ever feel like regretting the bleach just cut your hair short i’m sure you’ll rock it
i literally RUINED my hair minutes before this video. Half of my hair fell out and it was a complete mess. I was having a full-blown panic attack, but luckily, I found your video and it calmed me down so now i’m happy again. Thank you!!!!
Reading these comments and watching this vid is actually really reassuring, i bleached black box dye out of my hair and it went from feeling so thick and healthy to feeling like straw which makes me so sad :( everyone says its just hair but it really does impact your confidence! Anyway, we are all beautiful and I know our hair will be back to fine sooner than we think!
Bulla McBullakins Hi! It’s much better now, literally back to normal if this gives anyone hope. What I use every time I wash it is Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask and I used Aussi Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner really liberally for about a month. Of course there are plenty of split ends, but it’s actually soft and looking so much better!! :)
3 month update no one asked for lol, I'm getting a cut soon for some of the split ends but otherwise hair is looking good! I've been really happy with the hair mask i use every time I wash my hair, and it's lasted so long i recommend. One point of progress that I've noticed is how heavy my hair got when wet after I bleached it. It was so dry that the hair follicles would cling to any moisture and literally never air dry, but now it dries in it's normal amount of time! Yay for progress!
I’m over here crying about my hair literally and she’s just pulling it out like nothing this made me feel so much better because I’m really breaking down having anxiety attack freaking out
For anyone who has recently done this to their hair, for shoulder length hair you can take 2tsp of vinegar to a cup of water, spray all over hair leave for 30 minutes then condition hair. Worked amazing for me, it returned the correct ph to my hair and no longer feels like spaghetti. It won't return hair perfectly of course but really improves hair
You are the calmest person I have seen on youtube after losing so much hair. I am in the same predicament right now. I just bleached my hair for the third time this week (i did it once a week) and now hair is falling off. I am literally crying from regret. Im scared of losing my whole head of hair.
Ok, some of the tips are really wrong: 1. Use GOOD quality natural oils - argan oil, macadamia oil, etc., not the cheap horrible sprays like in this video. These products only work because they have silicones, they make hair smooth and nice for short term but only causes damage long term. 2. Do not blow dry! It will take longer to air dry damaged hair, but eventually it will. Use hair oils on wet hair, it makes the process of drying faster. If you must use a dryer, use cold hair only. 3. Don't brush, comb or even finger brush wet hair. Wait until it's completely dry. You should stick to this even if your hair is healthy just because wet hair is in a lot more fragile state than dry.
Cocnut oil masques are amazing. I legit just burned off 5 inches of hair (ugh....don't get me started) with bleach and coconut oil, shea butter, argon oil and Redken and Joico are helping me not go bald. Seeing her use drugstore brands FULL of silicones, made me cringe.
Im literally laughing while looking at my hair easily coming off but deep inside im freaking out thats why i searched for remedy and u stumbled upon your vid. Thanks a lot 🥰
Don't use heat - no blow dry! Try to be patient allow hair to air dry - the process of air drying will strengthen your hair x 4. It's natural to panic when you see hair falling out, but when you panic you become irrational and impatient, this is when most of the damage occurs - let it dry naturally with no combing, don't use a towel as the towel can be abrasive - instead use a t-shirt, pat gently don't rub! Wait until hair is completely dry before you try anything x
First time I bleached my hair, all of it, myself. 😩 my husband helped 4 days ago. I was freaking out bcuz a lot of hair was like just falling off and falling apart. I got the color I wanted, ash blonde. I have a lot of hair, like a lot! So I wasn't worried about going bald just worried about my hair being so damaged. Man if I would have seen ur vid 4 days ago. I wouldn't have panicked as much. But now since putting coconut oil, argon oil and using sulfate free shampoo, my hair is already looking and feeling stronger. Also only wash it 1 time a week now. Great tips and video!!! U were so chill n relaxed about everything. 🙌😌
@@siaw6487 aww :( It's fine! U got this! Use the rice water method for hair growth and i swear u will see the difference I hope everything gets better soon♡♡ if u need any help plss let me know
@@rahafzakarya5586 hey rahaf I had to shave it off it was SO bad :( Just taking a lot of biotin now and using hask coconut oil conditioner. Hoping it'll be atleast pixie length by summer. Not looking forward to the grow out but hope it'll grow out ASAP!
Great tips ! It helps a lot! Also what I now do which helps big time is a day or two before bleaching do a really good hair mask/treatment for an hr or more. No heat or nothing. Let it air dry.. The next day go ahead and put some coconut oil or some type of leave in conditioner/oil an hr or two before bleaching (don’t rinse out) as it won’t mess up the bleach process. Go ahead and bleach no more than an hr long and bleach fast. Saturate it. Foil/caps helps with keeping bleach wet. Dry will damage. Once done, take foil/cap off and get in the shower and put some conditioner on and wash it with Luke warm water. No hot or cold.. after getting out the shower put another hair mask treatment over your hair for another hr and washed it out with a little more conditioner as well and when You get out I dont use a towel at all to dry your hair. Like she did, use your fingers or a very wide tooth comb and gently comb your hair and put a little coconut oil and wrapped it in a cotton shirt to dry. I’m telling you, you will barely have any damage and it was soo soft and less frizzy from the shirt. I know There are a lot of steps. But you won’t regret any of it. Keep doing those hair masks at least once a week or two depending on your hair and try not to wash every day. Hope this helps you!! 🥰 Let me know if it works. Namaste 🙏 🧘♀️
i was shaking, had a whole panic attack last night bc the same thing happened to me and im so happy i found this video and comment section, I feel less alone 🥴
Yess thank you for the video! I damaged my hair so bad a couple of days ago and I ran straight to the store to buy repair treatments right after and moisturizer’s but this video made me feel so much calmer ! Thank you! :)
Been watching like a ton of videos about bleached hair care but you really are the first to explain why washing my hair seems to make it more dry and impossible to air dry -- thank you 💖💖 Ps. Please edit the music level on this video, it's hard to hear what you're saying.
My hair has been doing this same thing. What really helped me is redkin bond concentrate first, then bond concentrate shampoo and conditioner. I then gently brushed it out and used a leave In condition and it suddenly looks way more healthy. I'm going to wash my hair 1 to 2 xs per week, and really b gentle w it. Tonight I bleached it and by using all the products mentioned, my hair looks in better shape now than it did before dye job. It is really thin.
Can you tell me how are you so calm? Im literally bawling my eyes out after bleaching because Im afraid im losing all of my hair. Has this happened to you before? Will the falling off ever stop? 😭 im really desperate
@@Jessicuh214 i used hair mask the day after to kinda get some moisture into the hair. Havent washed it yet since then and definitely do finger combing only. I will wash it again maybe tomorrow or the day after. Let’s see if it gets better 😔
@@Jessicuh214 most people suggested cutting the hair. I havent yet because if i go to the salon they might comb my hair roughly and i will lose more. Maybe after a week i’ll get two inches trimmed off if my hair is stronger then :( let me know if you’re getting a haircut
Solo Traveler I appreciate you replying to me. Idk anyone in person who’s had the same case as mine. I’m very impulsive, I’ve actually been calling salons asking if they’ve experienced someone similar to my condition (literally fried crispy falling hair even with soft touches) and if they have someone who can be extra extra gentle with it. 😅😭💔 I’ll let you know what I do! Please let me know how you are too!
@@kimbriones9216 at least u are still silver they fricken dyed it dark brown and into a bob. I hate myself. I have to wait maybe a year to dye again blonde.
Hi guys. Can you do an update what happened, what you did, what’s currently happening. I’m literally in the stage where I just fried my hair and don’t know what to do.
Having the right hair brush did WONDERS for reducing hair loss! I had the same thing happening that you did (brittle damaged hair breaking in chunks). I just bought the Wet Brush - I got a full size eco version (it’s hard so it’s easier to clean) and a eco mini for the shower. I use it instead of my fingers when combing through conditioner now and it also applies much more evenly.
The only thing I can say is, put your fingers away from box dye you guys. I bleached my hair 4 times with a 10 volume developer and bleach powder and my hair went without any problems to a blond color. But I decided to buy a platinum box because I wanted very light hair. And here I am, watching videos about how to save your hair. 😭
ooooooh God I would like to be in the same mindset as you, I've also damaged my hair to nearly the same point and everytime I look at it I have a heart attack.
i just bleached my hair and i can definitely tell it's damaged but i'm not sure how. it's slimy when it's wet and it's stiff when it's dry but it's not falling out or breaking at all. can i dye over it or should i let it be until it completely grows out in a year or so? also i have messy, curly hair so i straighten it a few times a week. can i do that still? i'm not sure how i can style my hair without straightening it.
Slimy is just a symptom of the bleach (I had it as well), be VERY gentle handling your bleached hair wet, if you pull it too much the strands will stretch like an elastic band but they won't shrink back and by default will make your hair super fragile. As for stiff, how many times have you washed your hair since bleaching? Sometimes there is gritty bleach residue and it just takes a couple more washes to get all of it out. I personally do a leave-in conditioner and air-dry every time I wash my hair just to make sure my hair (mostly straight) will lay more naturally instead of frizz.
@@sky1arks995 i had only rinsed my hair once when i wrote that comment so i think i was just overreacting. i ended up washing it and i left my conditioner in for about 20 minutes and it totally fixed everything. it feels completely normal now. obviously still dry and damaged but definitely not falling out, stiff, or slimy. thank you so much for your response though!
Get the shampoo and 2 step system from Aphogee and use it once a week to give your hair the keratin and moisture it needs. Also use coconut oil for a minimum of 3 hours, once a week.
Lol I wanna be friends with you. I literally fell into depression after bleaching my hair and seeing it break off, and you’re just like that, chillin’😂 you’re a queen.
@@rahafzakarya5586 cut it short and hydrate ur hair. Try to avoid bathing. Oil oil oil. If it’s dead and full off split hairs, it’ll just continue to break.
please enter a name My hair is platinum blonde white and the first time I fried it completely I ended up cutting it into a bob.... which I hated. What has worked for me and my bleach damaged hair is not washing it often, switching to only olaplex haircare and treatments, using plenty of oil in it when I style instead of gels, and honestly leaving it alone.
@@KayleighCoral I cut it to a bob and left it alone. It honestly feels and looks so so much better now, even my friends compliment me when they touch it. I kinda want to bleach it again but I know I will damage it again so I just try to not do it
Noooo, don't use a blow dryer, it'll take some time to air dry, but it will, the hair is also breaking off from bleach, but I'm not touching a blow dryer to make my case worse!😨
I just got my hair done super light. My situation is that sections of it have this gummy feel, and it doesn’t seem to dry... (will be buying protein treatments soon) also rip to a small section on top of my head that ripped out ;-;
I went to the salon this morning to have my hair done, from this dark healthy brown to this blonde ombré color. And the lady completely killed my hair and now it’s shedding and quite thin. I’ve been on the verge of tears I don’t want to go bald
TIP! If you are going to use heat on your hair (As she said before... ONLY if you really need to!) Or need to dry it with a hair drier you can buy a heat protectant spray for your hair! It will help to protect that pretty head of yours... If you don't use it already! This is also good regardless if you have broken bleached hair or just wanna help your hair out!
Also! If you are going to dry your hair with a blow dryer, try to use the cool and low setting and towel dry/gently squeeze out as much as water as possible before doing it.
I only suggest blow drying your hair after showering because it will literally take forever to air dry. Heat tools like a curling iron, or straighter is a def no go.
I am a guy, I had shoulder length hair. It was my 2 and half year hair growth. I feel extremely terrible. I had my hair in this situation today after my hair dresser messed up my hair with 7 times bleach for 5 hours. My hair was natural silky smooth which many people loved it but It was ruined today. My scalp burned badly with blood patches and I was at this same state of hair as yours. Hair dryer and everything didn’t work. My hair would simply fall off. I feel upset I didn’t find your video earlier. I didn’t know what to do and ended up shaving off my entire head. I feel very upset and anxiety at the moment because I am bald now. 😕😔😭😭
I’ve damaged my hair pretty bad before, n I recently bleached my hair n accidental left it a bit to long but your such a life saver honestly, givin the best tips n answers..😭
And how's your hair doing now? Is it back like normal? Does the hair that came out of the roots came back?😭😭ik so much questions it's just I'm PANICKING
@@rahafzakarya5586 it grows back yes u have to be insanely patient.. In all honesty I bought olaplex 3... Used it on my damp hair.. When it dries on my hair, I saturate it with Castor oil(yes on top of the olaplex and it's heavy).. I wash it the next day. I kept doing this every 3 days NO JOKE... My hair is coming back to lifeeeeee the difference is motivating and I'm still continuing this method... The olaplex isn't cheap but I already decided I'd rather starve than keep my hair like this... My hair dresser fried off 26 inches of my hair so imagine my pain.. And now I'm getting it back anyway so fuck her. Good luck darling, just be consistent and patient ❤️ And don't forget to do deep conditioning for your scalp!

Tysm for this my hair is elastic from bleach then I dyed it back to brown and I’m using it’s a 10 and vitamin e hair oil In so embarrassed it gotten this bad I never had this problem I’m glad to see I’m not the only one
Thankfully my hair isn't to that point, it's super dry and tangles easily but it isn't pulling/falling out at all and I am like so nervous that anything I do to try and fix it will make it worse ahhhhh
I recently bleached bathed my hair to death. There's been a lot of breakage. I do use a vent brush when I blow dry my hair. I've been using a leave in conditioner and heat protectant. I've been using shampoos and conditioners with protein or oils in them. I use a mask once a week. So far there hasn't been a lot of hair fall... just breakage. I wash it every day. I know that's bad, but I've got to put so much crap in it just to get it to lay down... And I've got fine hair. I have been using a flat iron on a lower heat setting in some places. My hair is very short, and I have an undercut... so hopefully it'll look decent in about 6 months. 🤞 Right now, it's like fried feathers... and my white roots are starting to show, making it look like I'm going bald. The rest of my hair is blue green. My hair hasn't been this damaged since I was in my late 20's - early thirties. I couldn't brush my hair back then at all because it would literally break off as I was brushing it. I didn't use conditioner at all, and I washed it every day and blow dryed it and colored it with permanent boxed dye every 4 weeks... and not just on the regrowth. I changed my hair color often too and I was in the process of growing out a bad perm. My hair length was past my shoulders. I'm not sure how I had any hair left on my head at all! I know I'll get through this. I know I'm not alone. We're All gonna' get through this!
Omg I’m so happy I found this video bc i got my hair bleached like that egirl hair style on tik tok and I washed my hair and I was crying bc it was falling out and being sort of gummy.
Expensive but I can guarantee it helps: Kerastase Resistance Serum Therapiste, the one that has 3 and 4. Makes a huge difference in your ends. Moroccan Oil oil treatment and Davines Nou Nou moustirizing mask. I’m currently testing K18 in my hair for repairing bonds. Salon treatment, and this one has saved my hair too many times to count, Framesi Restructure.
I had this beautiful pink color in my hair like my profile pic, got greedy and wanted to bleach my dark roots & change the color again ... my hair is now snapping off and it’s so upsetting.... I just got some ion repairing deep conditioner & bond building conditioner by zotos... I just absolutely do not want to start all over and cut it off.... I been wearing scarves and keeping my hair braided back and it’s summer so it’s too hot for this shit but this is what happens when you just can’t be satisfied with one damn color.... I usually like black roots that fade into the color i don’t even know why my slow ass even attempted that ish... from here on out I’m done bleaching unless I just go to the salon.... we can get through this ladies patience & stay the fu** away from the bleach.... smh...
this happened to me exactly i had a lovely pink and my roots got too long so i tried to take the pink out first, fried it with color remover and then made it worse by overlapping the bleach on my roots. my hair is falling out so quick and i was growing it out for 13 years past my butt. i’m so depressed now 😭😭 i feel u girl
@@jess-de5kh color remover is honestly such a sneaky little bitch 😂 lost more hair with cr+10vol developer(30minutes) than when I bleach my hair white with 30vol.(1 hour process time) when it’s dry it’s literally HAY, and of course in my case some of my roots got lightened as well and I got leopard print roots now 😂 I feel your pain
@@DemiLoves1D1999 girl i’m still losing so much hair over here 😭 i did olaplex the other day and my hair has just been falling right out in long strands. the worst part is there’s no root at the end of them so it’s all breaking off near my root. and my hair dry as hell too i haven’t been able to brush it in days 😩 we gotta figure this out lol
@@jess-de5kh tips I gathered so far 1)oil treatments often(castor, coconut, olive oil), fermented rice water rinse before shower also (once every week or two weeks) supposedly the protein from it will somewhat seal the hair, preventing it from breaking off( haven’t tried that yet) delay washing hair for as long as you can, silky material pillowcase or a bonnet and lots for deep conditioning. I also used to do a hair mask a few years back that I remember really helped with nourishing, avocado, coconut oil, banana and honey. Hope you found some of these helpful, and for your hair to get better! Hmu with updates on your journey in this comment section if you want 😄

I have an underdye and I love it, I’ve had it for 6 months and I have been retouching it once a month, professionally. The issue is that bleach has cause some of my hair to break and when I put my hair up in a ponytail, you could see the short hair that has broken off because of the damage. Like I said, I love the style and I don’t want to stop bleaching it. What do I do to prevent more hair at the nape of my neck from breaking?

How come all the other things ive read say do not hairdry your hair at all? They all say leave it to air dry - but like you said, mine won't seem to dry at all on its own 😭 i just dont know what to do, literally everyone else says don't use a hairdryer or any heat, but if i don't then the most damaged bit simply won't dry at all 😫
This video was so fuckin helpful I'm a guy, trying to get grey hair and I bleached my head 3 times today (8 times within 3 weeks) and my hair feels gummy, breaking from the slightest tug, and I damn near had a panic attack
Hello! Is it okay for you to list all the products you used to deal with the massive hair loss? I'm experiencing the exact same thing because I bleached my hair a lot during quarantine. Thank you!
It's a 10 keratin treatment. L'oreal Elvive extraordinary oil. Carols Daughter Almond Milk leave in conditioner (daily damage repair). Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine leave in conditioning creme. I don't use all of these at once lol. These are just some of my favorites over the years.

Omg this is me a few days ago ago and im still depressed about it! I’ve been self bleaching and toning my black curly hair a couple years now and it looked great so I freaked out when this bleach job went awry. I went to work with a surgical cap on a few days ago and my coworker asked “what happened to all your glamorous hairstyles?” I wanted to punch her and cry. For me my hair is my most important and valuable accessory 😭
hey there :0 so this is a 6 months update...so basically nothing changed my hair is falling out like crazy and i have BALD spots and im still 16, iv tried rice water..and many hair thickening sprays, and not to forget natures bounty and let me tell you...nothing changed. idk what is the problem and what to do..i lost more than 70% of my hair..and i cant see any new growth..anyway i will try new stuff for the next 6 month and im going to give you guys another update.
I learned more from this video than a different one I watched, by an actual hair stylist. The stylist talked about her products for 10 mins, then her hair (and styling her hair) for 2 minutes 😏
I'd leave your hair in an oil treatment then a ph balancing condition. The gummy and breakage in that hair for me is worrisome but use a protein treatment and deep condition for like a month.
Istg i just got my hair dyed from a salon. I had to leave before getting it blow dried cuz i was in a hurry. They left on the bleach for almost 3-4 hours. I kept telling them to wash it but they said that they didn’t get the correct colour. I came home and after combing and drying my hair, half of it fell out. I’m almost about to cry. I paid so much money to that salon and they damaged my hair so badly.
My hair is already falling out due to (school) stress but I'm still thinking about bleaching and dying it,, I'm just gonna do it when my hair is healthier
Well depends what color you want to dye it. I dyed my hair pink after this, and it evened out my hair color. Unless you're going for like white, i think stopping at where I'm at and layering on a hair dye will even out your hair. If you think you need to go lighter, I say wait a month to give your hair a break before bleaching again.
