@@petlover9696 Rail transit everywhere is remarkably safe. Seattle is extremely safe (well, property crime not so much, but certainly violent crime). Link Light Rail, therefore, is extraordinarily safe.

A car will get you to downtown in 30 minutes, but then you spend the next 30 minutes circling around and looking for parking. Just take the train.

Yes, we are "old timers" in the area as well. I love Seattle because it really is almost as safe as it was back in the day. In fact, for major metropolitan areas, Seattle ranks as one of the lowest in the US for violent crime. Belltown is still safe to walk around after dark, as people move around between restaurants, shopping, dog walking and other activities.
