In this episode, I show you how I helped a recent winner in my Long-Tail Keyword Phrase competition to get a specific design from their shop to show up higher in RedBubble search. In a number of keyword cases, right up to page one!
Now you can follow the rationale in this episode to help your own designs to rank higher and get more exposure!

Hey Brian, thanks for sharing this video with us. It's really great seeing the process you go through in order to find keyword tags for designs and the way you explain things makes it really easy to understand. Will definitely use this method with my uploads! RU-vid needs more people like you!

This is by far and away the best Redbubble advice video I have seen. I have a lot of work to do now, I have about 140 designs on my new store and sold nothing. I'll have to go through each individual design and update all taking your advice

Hey Daniel, thanks for watching and I'm glad that the information shared was valuable to you. With 140 designs in your shop it shouldn't take you that long to modify if you do a few each day. May I ask in which tier your shop was placed in?

Well then, you are one of the lucky few. It seems that anyone who has recently joined the platform were placed in Premium or Pro while us 'old timers' with lots of designs were placed in Standard. Not certain if you know of the current woes at Redbubble right now, but they're starving for cash and have really dealt a nasty hand to their sellers.

Hello Brian. T Enjoyed the tutorial. I have more or less done my homework before uploading keywords but I see that there are some changes to be made nevertheless. Starting with your suggestion of the shop's name as one. What I would like to ask you is, if I change keywords, the title, the description how long will it take for the webspiders to gather the info again and have the algorithm rank it better? I have made some changes recently and my designs dropped from first 400 to first 800 and it took some 4 weeks to come back. Would you perhaps suggest to try out with 1 and then see the results? Thanks and will follow! 🙂
@BrianAbelaYT
@BrianAbelaYT 2 года назад
Hello Zorica, thanks for your comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. With respect to your question about the web spiders gathering the info again, sadly, I'm not in a position to be able to give you a specific answer as it varies. I've had designs with modified tags rank higher with a few days, others a little longer. What is important to keep in mind is that, regardless of how long it takes them to re-rank, look at the long term benefits you are going to receive by making the changes. Secondly, if you are making changes to the design, it is clear that the design in question was not making any return for you anyways, so the additional wait for the web spiders to gather the info again isn't consequential in this case. Best of luck with it and I wish you loads of success.

One thing that's unclear for me and I'll be thankful if you can clarify it, but isn't "Oneline, then Flower Oneline, then Leaves Oneline" considered tag spamming, or is it fine if relevant combinations of words are being made with a repeated word? Sorry if it's a stupid question, kinda new and I just discovered your channel ^^
@BrianAbelaYT
@BrianAbelaYT 2 года назад
Hello, thanks for your question, and no, there are no stupid questions. Very glad to clarify. In this case, given that the keywords are relevant and they pertain to the design this would not be considered as tag spamming, at least from my point of view and I have never had any issues with it with Redbubble. The type of tag spamming you might be mixing this up with are the types where unscrupulous sellers try to add multiple words for each tag that have absolutely nothing to do with the design, simply in the hopes of showing up in multiple results and landing a sale. I hope this clarifies. Please get back to me if you have any further questions. I'm here to help. :-)

@@BrianAbelaYT Thank you for your answer, makes sense. You are awesome! ^^ I used to only include a unique word only once even in longer tags, just because I thought that including the word once was enough, but now it makes sense and I'm seeing why it is being abused.

Brilliant video!!! But I think the burning question is, did the revised keywords rank higher?
@BrianAbelaYT
@BrianAbelaYT 2 года назад
Hey Iraj, thanks for your reply and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. To answer your burning question, the answer is yes the design did rank higher. In fact, I just checked the first 8 keyword phrases that I used in the video and the design was either number 1 or number 3 with 'Most Relevant' selected. So yes, this method can help you to get your designs ranking higher. Give it a try with one of your own designs and get back to us, we'd love to hear about your experience with this method. 🙂
