How to tame feral kittens that bite and scratch part 1 

The first one picked up looked very puzzled when his hostile reaction didn't work. 😂 Like why are you still touching me?

Thats how I tamed feral kittens. They tame pretty fast when they're little like that. Older feral cats take longer but it can be done with patience

We were bottlefeeding feral kittens, and my sons wore those giant gloves on their hands when doing it (I didn't wear any). We had one kitten (Winnie), who used to hiss and bite in between sips, haha. We kept her because she was so feral, and then one day, I woke up with her on my chest, in my face, staring at me. From that day forward, she CANNOT be without her humans, especially my younger son. His room is her room, and she absolutely ADORES him. She loves us all, but he's her favorite brother from another mother, lol. I find that the ferals end up being the cuddliest, and most needy of human interaction, once they are domesticated. Even if they don't like me, I love them with my entire being, although they all fall in love with me, too, ha. ❤️

A bit of food too when you are handling them does wonders too it’s like wow this giant is feeding me and not eating me too !

Feral cats can be trained at any age. When they are that young they are very easy to train without gloves by using food, treats, play, toys, and brushes. Much more humane.

I would invent a thin Kevlar glove with fuzzy fleece on the outside. Warm 'n fluffy yet safe.

I needed a video like this. There is a feral kitten that somehow got into our fenced backyard. It is under our shed currently and plan to try and tame it and make it a part of our family.

A strange occurrence happened with the cat I own today. She is most assuredly from the wild as she had no collar. No missing posters put up. No locals were looking for her. Even put up a Facebook post about it. Nothing. But simply put we were doing groceries in our apartment. Left the door open and she let herself into our home. Into our lives like she was meant to be there. Simply laid out on the floor fully and meowed, just once. And I knew right there she wanted to be part of my family. She is the most behaved feline I have seen personally in a long time.

You will be loved into submission, there is no escape.

I have taken in spicy babies i found in my yard and it was so cute on day one the spiciest one came out his carrier and snuggled me. He was the healthiest and ended up being the only survivor the others were too far gone. But once the others saw him cozy to me they slowly came out i let them sniff at me didn’t pet and waited till they also snuggled. So precious. That was a once in a life time taming experience for me though.

Are there two torties?! In one litter?? I love Tortoise Shells. I had one myself I had to euthanize due to congestive heart failure back in 2014. These little ones remind me of her. She was spunky, too, hahaha, but she had the most gentle and sweet nature. Enjoy these beautiful kittens!! Thank you and God bless you always for what you do to help His creation. 😊

I don’t know how true this is, but I was told if you take a feral cat and leave them in the trap like you have and throw a blanket over there I was told that helps make them tame I don’t know if it’s true or not but that’s what I heard Anyways, thank you for taking good care of those two little rascals. They’re very very pretty cats.❤❤

That's what we did when fostering our neighborhood stray's kittens. They spit at first, but after much rubs and especially when offered food, they succumbed to love ❤️ Didn't need gloves either! Miss them all.

Food and socialization. Squirrels, crows, raccoons... they're all the same. Time, patience, and food does the trick. Pick your battles as animals are still animals and can be unpredictable.

A feral cat who's also tortoiseshell. That's doible the trouble lol.

I once had to check on a kitten whose eyes were probably opened not long before and couldn't see clearly. Very fiesty. But when i was able to gentle touch her, she fell over and shat herself 😅. Luckily she quickly calmed down when i started giving her scritches.

My sweet little cat had her kitten 4 weeks ago its funny to see one of the boys hiss like he's a big tough guy, but he is just a big sweet heart and all three of them know when I let their mom out of the carrier to eat/drink and use the litter box they get to run around for a bit out of the carrier. My husband is unfortunately allergic to cats and so we keep them in the carrier so that we know where they are and I don't have to go hunting around the whole house for them and it is a pretty big carrier so they have plenty of room in there to play my infant son loves getting to see them in whenever I go past with him one of the kittens runs to the carry your door and stares out it until we go up to him, my son squeals with the light every time he sees any of our cats or the kittens

My hands are scarred for life I do recommend those gloves lol

I just picked them up one at a time wrapped in my shirt and kooed softly at them now one follows me everywhere and one doesn’t go outside at all

A cat (feral with a clipped ear) has been coming over to my front door. Now I feed it and have ordered an outdoor home, let's see if it's going to be used. It's a small black cat, looks young but not quite a kitten. Hopefully he/she warms up to me soon.

Omg the tortiseshell kittens are so adorable I would love to have caught them, beautiful ❤ But I did just trap my first feral kitten only this morning and will try this and feeding those wet food treats. Not sure if I can keep this cat permanently yet but we'll see how two dogs, two snakes, and a baby can be managed with a kitten added to the mix. Have to put it's trap out again because I'm not sure if it had siblings or not, but may as well try!

Everyday on a farm, no idea where they come from. Get’em fixed and more still show up!

When I captured a feral, orphan kitten in my front bushes I wrapped her in a towel with just her head sticking out and held her and pet her head. She was only about 4 weeks old and very hungry so she tamed fairly quickly. But there was no way I could put my hand in the kennel.

If I were in your situation I would not hesitate to give them kisses!

Quickest way: put wet food in cage, scratch butt w/o glove! Then pick up by scruff of neck and scratch their head. Ive caught by hand and tamed over 500 kittens!

Those look like kittens. My adopted cat was found in a barn. They said she is shy. I have not touched her. I use laser beams, food, water, treats, and speak kindly. She doesn't like catnips. She is starting to move closer to me with her paws folded under her. Sometimes, I look into her eyes and blink slowly. I will be patient.

Where we live, we just pick them up with our bare hands lol. (They are half feral, their mothers aren't feral though.)

I've got a litter of 4-5....they run when they see me!!! I have done this before.....and I just got a new pair of gloves. My 2 inside cats were born feral.... They aren't anymore,!!!
