I just was able to purchase this doll I’ve never had a doll with tinsel and this will be my first rainbow Hugh so I’ll find out how I feel but I love your restyles they’re so stunning thus turned out amazing
I don’t like tinsel because of the way it shrivels & it just isn’t for all dolls. I usually pull it out of my dolls hair. Only doll I like tinsel on is Lily Cheng, it really fits her year of the dragon theme.
I didn’t mind tinsel in doll hair until I combed out the hair on my Amaya Raine Junior High. It got caught in the comb that came with the doll. So I’m no longer a fan of tinsel.
I use a old head towel to dry my dolls hair. I take my Rainbow/Shadow High dolls into the shower with me to wash their hair, (the bowel I normally use that’s gonna be used for dyeing clothes for my dolls). I use 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner in their hair and the hair is silky smooth.

So I've been doing the straw method for curling the heat tools make me nervous you've never melted any hair yet? I want to try my crimper on them but leery 😬 yours always look so nice and neat. The tinsel in my bella pops out of the curls it didn't curl very well even with a boil washing. Thanks 😊
I’ve only ever melted a dolls hair once. It was when I first started using curling irons on my dolls (years ago) and the doll had saran hair. I was also using a curling iron that didn’t have heat settings. So just all the wrong combinations. 😂 No reason to be scared the curling iron method works on pretty much every hair type besides saran and kanekalon. ☺️
Another beautiful restyle, with helpful hair tips! Sidebar, do you have any advice on how to get rid of the superglue in Harley Limestone's hair from Neon Shadow? I've been afraid to buy the doll, bc I get rainbow high dolls for their hair, and some ppl say the superglue makes the hair unmanageable.
Thank you so much for watching! I haven’t tried it myself but some people were saying soaking her hair in pure acetone gets out the glue. I can’t be 100% sure since I’ve never tried it myself.
