Just a comment here from someone that has over 40 years experience as a player and coach. Taping the blade heel to toe or toe to heel does make a difference. A defenceman should tape toe to heel and a forward heel to toe. the reason, the overlap direction, A defenceman skates backwards more so it rolls up quicker. The opposite for forwards. This will allow the tape to last longer. Thanks
I was just joining the conversation. Adding to it in a friendly manner. Your approach was to post a smart-ass comment and wrongly accuse me of incorrectly spelling the word "defenceman". you must be American. In Canada, it is spelt that way.
dude what the fuck you hang the tape roll and then spin it. you dont hold the roll high above your head and manually crank it around each time. it spins on its fucking own when you let it hang hahahahaha
Basically use whatever color and type you want. Toe to heel or heel to toe doesn't make a difference in your overall play. If you use black tape some say it will make the goalie misjudge the puck but has not been proven. Tape your stick how you want.
simply because black tape against a (obviously) black puck makes the puck "dissappear". I.e how camo works. However it is what you say, it haven't been proven.
If making the knob in black or white and going heel to toe is all preference..why isnt making the toe "pretty" preference also? Just thought I'd point that out
