You didn’t show how you connect the part you marked to the seam! Lol. You just marked it and then sewed something together. Did you cut the excess fabric off where you marked the line? If so, you absolutely need to undo the bottom cuff because the cuff is narrower with less material.

I did not cut off the excess fabric haha. But yes, if you wanna cut the excess fabrics, then you should undo the bottom and then sew it back together. 👍

That’s when he unstitched the bottom so that he didn’t have to cut the excess off and he could push the excess inwards and cuff the bottom then stitch it and it would hold the excess in place rather than it being loose. I didn’t understand it at first but watch the video again and you will see why he unstitched the bottom.

I am confused about what to do after you make the new seem. I know you hem the bottom back. But wouldn't the old seem(the inner side of the pants) still be there and will create a gap between the new seem and the old one ?

You can either leave it there so that you can readjust the seem in the future, or you can cut it off to make it permanent!💪
