So after lesson 3, which I found actually difficult, todays lesson has given me a bit more confidence as I actually got the hang of the curves quite quickly. I am however going to go back to the invisible lines and hope I can get the hang of them. Amazing lesson as always.
Each lesson will keep building on the next. What i would advise is if your struggling with joining lines for example just do a few rows of them as a warm up before doing your next lesson. Its a really good habit to build drilling your weak areas before a lesson and gets you ready to smash the next one. Hope that helps .
Thank you Ben! I'm on lesson 14 right now and can see much improvement, i had zero tattooing experience and thanks to you I feel so much more confident in choosing this road to go down for my dream career! I will feel even better once I've purchased TMP full course on June 3rd, thank you very much for making it way more affordable for us!!!!
Ben!!! My man!!! Love this!!! Only downside is that the bundle is only for uk reel skins 😢wish you could get partnered up to get a u.s bundle going. But have another few medium sets to get here this weekend. Thank you so much and be talking again in 27 days when it’s time to purchase the full course 😅
Firstly thank you for the comments and supporting the channel buddy. I am currently just in talkings with setting up a new deal with the practise matts with another company too
You are the best brother. I wait excited for the next one always. Hey quick question. What brand of needles do you use? What would be your suggestion on what kind of machine a very new tattooist should learn on? Thanks for everything man. I appreciate you.
How do you keep from cutting through the mats? I have tried lowering my voltage, moving my machine faster, changed needle depth, and angle but I can't seem to saturate these Reel Skin mats without cutting them. I don't have this issue with other brands, but Reel Skin seems closer to human skin than other brands and I'd like to keep using them.
I wish i had a Mentor like You when i was learning , back in 94 my Mentor was drunk most of the time and for months all i did was shadow other artist in the shop cause he was never their and when he was he was drunk or Hi 🤦🏻♂️
Ben quick question was your needle closer to tube on this video you seem to be getting a few ink smudges seems like you normally have a bit more needle out
Thanks for the great lesson sir. I have a question pls, what am I not doing right when the ink doesn't deposit boldly enough on first contact? I usually have to do it over a few times.
Check either the machine voltage or your hand speed if the volts are to low for your hand speed this can cause week lines turn the machine up and see if it improves also you may be not going quite deep enough and always use quality skins Ben has a video regarding real skin with a link to his bundle
Black out tattoos are packing ink. I believe there will be a video of packaging ink either in the first 30. Or definitely in the TMP course. The course is worth it. Hope this helps.
Skin is just different from pigskin , the feel , the ink penetration the amount of ink that penetrates into the dermas and it's a actual canvas , pigskin is almost like pen and paper.
I bought some pig skin. It wasn't cheap won't buy it again What else can I practice on other than fruit .that's cheap .Thick paper? Potatoes?what is being used on the video? Thankyou
@andrew jackson I would hold off tattooing real skin until you complete the TMP course. Reel skin is a practice skin. I say that so you don't hurt your reputation before it starts. Reputation is a big factor in tattooing. Hope this helps
