How to Teach a Child the Back Float 

Really great job. Not quite as accurate as dong it from scratch but a great demonstration. I love that you are sending parents off to their local instructor. For kids as compliant as your example, some parents might well tech them to float if they choose not to get a professional instructor -- and that could save their lives. Showing a fearful subject or just a tough cookie, would be good to. That might be up to me. We tell parents they might not like me the first week or so because I make sure they do not become dependent on my hand on their hear or back any longer than my German personality deems necessary. If they flip over on their stomach I flip them back. We let them have a second or two to realize that their bad habits with floaties and mommy and me won't work in real life. We only teach for like 12 weeks and we never have a kid who can't float. But it's quite a lot "harsher" at first and I love this example -- even good for me. Most end up gong off the slide and diving board and even some four year olds swim all four strokes. But we all have to remember to help them know they are safe and that fun is a big part of doing things right in the learning process. Great job.
