Isn't 2nd or 3rd grade when we really start doing topics and paragraphs? They do age-inappropriate teaching anymore. I remember 3rd grade is when I started the topic of paragraphs. The advanced methods don't always work. :( Go back to easier learning.
Hi Linda! As stated, this video is for 2nd-grade teachers. In first grade, my students' entire story would basically be a paragraph but I had many students who wanted to write more, so naturally I would extend their teaching in small groups. I expect all teachers know their own students best and should meet their needs accordingly!
