I am soaking all of this up! I also rewatch videos - there's so much wonderful information. I am continually learning at Dr. Lori's virtual school! ☺️ Thank you, Dr. Lori!
YAY! that was a good "lesson" .. thank you!!! and I finally got a 'Loupe' I have had fun with it.. looking close up at everything LOL I have been receiving your NEWSLETTER since 1 DEC 2020 and I saved them all.. Love them...
Hi Doctor Lori!!! It's Amber & my mom Diane. We love you!! My mom said you remind her of her cousin Betty. We video called last wk. We had About 8 paintings, The Giant by N.C. Wyeth & I had showed you the signed Claude Monet Poppies Near Argenteuil Lithograph & some Asian Quails. We had semi poor lighting & my signed Monet Lithograph was behind glass. I took a flashlight to it with a large magnifying glass after learning from you; there aren't any dots from printing!!!!!! I'm guessing this means it's not an off set & actually a hand print? I will email you. You helped us so much that day. My mom said she felt like family. Thank you again!!!! We adore you😊💕🎨
I am so happy to have found you. I need to purchase many boxes for jewelry. I am believing I have more handed down items that I am not protecting correctly. I have so much in my hot attic. Love your knowledge. ❤️👍
Yes, prints do seem to be confusing so I am very grateful when you teach us more about them. Thank you, Dr. Lori! My loupe just arrived and I am so excited!
This is the best explanation of offset vs hand lithography. I collect Robert Furber's "12 Month's of Flowers" and bought a couple offset lithographs by negligence before I knew to look for the dots. The "real" ones are out there now that I know what to look for. Thank you.
You are tops!Bless you for reaching out and helping us all. Thanks so much Dr.Lori.I am not a seller,(yet),but you have helped me understand what I have.
Hi Lori... OMG... you show here a plate white and blue ... I have a 2 pic. For hot sous and big plate for turkey ... I bought on auction few yeasr ego ... Modras/ Royal Boulton Co, I love it very much ,for all I payed 75 $ ... it is beautiful and I discover new valiue or turkey plate at 350 $ it was good deal .. 1902-1910 age ,
I get scared off by online auctions because they say things are paintings when I am sure they aren't. As a painter, I know what a painting is. Prints are commonly mistaken for watercolours etc.
Love love love your teaching us Dr Lori ❤ I always thought I wasn't able to learn alot about art or furniture but your showing me that even at 60 I CAN learn so much!. Thank you for making it easy and practical for us newbies 😃⚘
Just spotted to Copenhagen 1954 Christmas place at a flea market ask him how much he said a dollar piece I was on my motorcycle but I still managed to take them with me too pretty to pass up went back and looked up what they were and got the bug trying to inform myself with as much information as possible to know what to look for and I very much appreciate you sharing your knowledge that's probably taking you about a lifetime to gain the history of share with the items is priceless
Hi Dr lori, and thank you for sharing your knowledge of lithos. I love this type of art, so I've got a few... My question is, about Occident, the California Wonder horse. I've got to look at it closer with a loop, but it may be an offset , can't see a pencil signature, as it is matted. . So I take it that this is probably not worth a whole lot. Some parts look offset and other parts don't. I'm still trying to learn. LoL 🤷♀️ I just wanted to let you know you're awesome for helping us all out. 😊
Dr Lori Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️! I have one of his prints framed! OMG! I hope to do a video consult soon. I f the pic is in a glass covered frame can you still use the loupe? No one asked this question.
@@watthaile2053 This is a channel for us all to learn. Dr.Lori drops straight knowledge on us and I am always happy to help and she appreciated it. Nobody is trying to correct anybody we are sharing knowledge. Grow up.
@@DrLoriVyou did not misspeak, you even explained what mourning jewelry is. I simply was trying to add to it with the spelling so others understand the difference. Thank you so much Dr.Lori, *I love learning from you!!!
Where can you sell these pieces. ? My husband says to me about my collections it’s only worth what people will pay. I love learning all this info. I appreciate these items so much. Glad you give a value to various different items.
My values are based on what people have paid! Have you watched all of my reselling tips videos? Read all of my reselling tips articles on my website? My appraisal reports show you where similar pieces actually sold and for how much.
I have a print or painting and it dies have the dots, so I guess its by hand or it may be a glicee print its small and signed by a famous artist dated 1885. Im wondering if he drew this small of prints in that time frame.Uts about 7" by 12". Thank you. Thats without the frane its in older frame n matted.
Great information but for my mind I'm still a little confused but at least I would be able to explain what I'm seeing under the magnification to get a proper evaluation

Dr. Lori, could you please do a segment on identifying illegible (or close to illegible) signatures on prints? I have a print of St. Michaels church in Vienna that I can't identify the artist. It looks like Roland or Richard Kassmur, but I'm not sure.
I have done this video. I can also identify your piece. Send me Photos. Use the form on my website. To get to the form, watch a video and click on the "i" icon in the top right corner. See my face? Click on that and it will take you to the Send Photos form on my website.

Hi Dr. Lori! I just found you a few weeks ago and I am thrilled to be learning so much. Thank you for caring so much and for generously sharing your wealth of knowledge! I am just starting out reselling and have a little inventory. I know I want your help with identification and values, but I also want to know about the best places/platforms to be selling these pieces. Would you say that the priority be best to just submit a lot or a video call first to start out and find out about selling platforms? Thank you!!
I have an antique piece that that sits on a pedestal it is green and lead with hanging crystals. The top looks like a candy dish but it does not have a bottom. Do you know what it is?
I was given a Charlie's Cafe print paid for and taken out of a professional frame by an old lady who just wanted the frame, so she gave the print to me. (Ruanne Manning) I was glad to take it home for free.
