Best way to tell is to check the backside that goes to the hub. There can be seen material which is not machined or painted. And if you know your material charesteristics you can spot the difference between forged/stamped aluminum and cast texture. The cast has a grainy, kind of porouce texture if you see up close. If you compared cast and forged backside up close a few times you will be able to tell from just that.

I have the exact same og black te37s on my mugen civic si. They put a smile on my face everytime I walk outside. I was worried they were fake for a long time since I got the set for 1000 lol.

On authentic TE37s, the valve stem does NOT line up exactly with the bolt hole. This is one of the simple hallmarks of the older versions that don't have as many markers of authenticity as the newer ones do. If you get out a ruler and draw a line between the valve stem and the center of the wheel. You'll see that the bolt hole is slightly offset towards the spoke immediately to the left, it isn't being cut perfectly in half by the ruler. FAKE wheels have the bolt hole cut exactly in half.

To the naked eye, it does look like it aligns but now that I look at photos of the wheels, it doesn't exactly line up. I had the wheels verified a few times and it is a pre 2010 wheel so I was a little skeptical at first since I wasn't familiar with older TE37s. Thanks for the correction!

Sorry I'm not sure about the center cap size. I believe Evasive Motorsports sell them on their website. You should be able to find size there

hello! quick question, if I’ll buy fake wheels, will they have the same quality as the original ones?

Great question! They may look the same but build quality is different. Real TE37s are forged Wheels which are much stronger and only bend if you get in an accident. Fake ones are not forged and built with a different process. I've seen fake wheels crack into many different pieces in an accident or if you hit something

Great video thanks a lot, going to help me check if some te37's I am going to buy are legit. As for 30-40 years. No, 20 at best. They became a thing in the end of 90ies and became widely popular in 2000s. 30 years ago they began making lm-gt, GRC and those types. Good luck mate

For the OG TE37s like these, depending on the specs of them, they usually go around the $2000-$3000 range used. These are the early 2000s model

If you want to buy TE37s brand new, you can look for a company that distributes Rays wheels. For example companies like Evasive Motorsports, Boost logic etc. For used, you'll have to look around on Facebook groups, for sale pages etc

volk rays from thailand "Japan inspired" mags cn be trusted all along replicas.. it's like keihin from japan and another quality from thailand.. u cannot simply tell these manufacturers as fake producer of magwheels since not only japan shared their their designs thailan is also authorized to produce it.. do some further research not only to d product alone bt also d background of manufacturers selling affordable but w/ good quality of mag wheels..

Replica wheels re typically heavier and not forged. With wheels like Ray's, if you were to get into an accident, they bend vs a cheaper wheel would crack and break into piece

Totally get it! TE37s are great but expensive like you said. If you like rays wheels, but don't want to break the bank, you can also look into Rays Gramlight Wheels which are more affordable. Usually around $1500 and up
