Great video tutorial Krystof. Really helpful in making the most of Duende Sounds within video editing programs. The syncing of the music tracks was a challenge previously, but your tempo grid track will make it easier to be more creative with sound and video production. Would like to see more videos like this. Cheers.

my song has a beat every .479s of the song. How do I tempo grid this? on the timeline it translates to 15ms/16ms I think. I copy and paste blocks but it eventually gets inaccurate.

It will depend on what video editor you are using. In most cases you could create a 4 x 0.479s long blocks and make sure that the frame snapping is OFF. What's the bpm btw? 124? 126?

Thanks Krystof for thinking about us users...ONE QUESTION; how do we know where exactly the start of the music clip is so that we can sync this to the start of a bar in your grid? Do we trim your music clip to when the music actually starts or do we just use the whole clip you've supplied? A lot of your music clips have silence at the start.

Hi George, this is a very good question, and thank you for asking! This tutorial comes useful to "Evince" and any of the "Widescreen" series packs owners. Within "Widescreen" packs all rhythm phrases start with the clip start (i.e. the actual audio starts with the start of the file). In "Evince" the loop blocks are also created in a way so that you don't need to trim any of the silence. The silence you are referring to is placed in the arrangement parts in the "Evince" (there is another tutorial explaining why and how to use it), or in the other packs where the phrases are tempo-free. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

why should we use a time consuming trick for something that could so easily implemented by clever programming...my suggestion? VEGAS PRO...has a bars and beats grid...too bad is Windows only...!!

You are totally right! I think Davinci Resolve now also has it and hopefully other major apps will follow.
